Trumps comment in defence of Donald Jrs release of emails with a Kremlin-connected lawyer

"'My son is a high-quality person and I applaud his transparency.'"

Thanks Dad. High quality person. Great.

I'm sure his transparency had nothing to do with the NYT publishing them the next day

Trump said he's signed more bills than any president. He hasn’t. Here's how he stacks up against past presidents.

Sean Spicer is gone - reckon this will salvage his career? From a casual perspective it looks like he might have regained just a modicum of self respect here.

Moreover, who the hell is going to want that job :p

If reports of discord in the White House are elite media spin, then why the upset about Sean Spicer's resignation?

a good read

As an instrument of his master’s vanity and attachment to untruths, Sean Spicer became a figure of fun http://econ.st/2toGmB7

Thought this was very interesting, not something I saw dragged up before the election but much more damming than most of the things I've seen. It makes me even more skeptical of someone like Blair coming back into a modicum of power.

Just saw that they're having another vote again today?

They've been voting on this since I was in Vegas... What's the coup?

John McCain has brain cancer

being treated, covered of course, under the US healthcare system

Yesterday he travels to vote for the repeal of Obamacare, putting himself in physical peril to give a legislative victory to a man he hates and in order to give a tax cut to people who don’t need it and strip healthcare from people who depend on it.

i mean, not wanting to be overly liberal, but WTAF?

The mind boggles obviously, but wouldn't he be one of those with adequate insurance?

Senator @lisamurkowski of the Great State of Alaska really let the Republicans, and our country, down yesterday. Too bad!
