We're all mad here.

Just the usual week in politics, on both sides of the pond Smiley

That telephone conversation where Trump says “ no quid pro quo” is after they knew

there was a whistleblower and the story was breaking.

Can’t imagine an oaf like Donald using the quote “ quid pro quo “  without some

assistance.

Republicans go on about the aid being released , but that was again after Trump had

been caught with his pants down.

Not for the first time .

Sondland saved his own skin while implicating Trump and those around him , notably

Pompeo and Mulvaney .

As guilty as OJ Simpson but look what happened to him .

It's the 5th Democrat debate tonight. Whoever has been doing well has become a target in the previous ones, so Biden, Harris and Warren have all been on the receiving end. Presumably Buttigieg will be the one getting the treatment this time. Should be good.

In the first debate in July, Kamala was on the up and soared after going at Uncle Joe.

But in the next one, she was on the receiving end from Tulsi, slid in the polls and hasn't recovered since.

Beto killed off what was left of his once-promising campaign with this pledge:

Castro's attempt to represent Biden as old and forgetful backfired when surveys showed that all anyone concluded was that he was being ageist and a bully.

Biden didn't help himself on the age thing by telling people to visit a non-existent website, when he conflated his campaign's web address with its text number, and barely remembered the number.

If you're not sure who to vote for, one candidate is actually offering to pay you $1,000 a month. I would have thought this breaks lots of election laws, but he seems to have got away with it.

Yang is great. The ubi was also proposed by Milton friedman and I'm glad Yang has brought it into the political debate with automation coming fast.

His answer to the question : what will be the first thing you say to Putin if elected

"Sorry your guy lost..."

He's a breath of fresh air

I like how American politicians wait their turn speak and refrain from making loud unintelligible noises while doing so.

Rudy Giuliani’s son Andrew gets $90,700 a year as Sports Liaison for the White House.

His job is coordinating professional athletes visiting Trump.

His relevant experience? He golfs.

^^^^

Bet he hardly gets a minute's rest poor soul.

Some system they have over there, where POTUS can surround him or her self with his family & friends & pay them all a salary.

Coordinating professional athletes visiting Trump, jeez, what a gig.

I'm not really a fan of Colbert, but he collected a lot of the memorable moments from this week's debate in one piece, so let's just post that.
