New York Mayor Bill de Blasio told protestors to go home. An hour later, his daughter was arrested protesting and was kept in overnight.

The NYPD Sergeants Union tweeted about her on its official account, showing a copy of her charge sheet, which included confidential personal details (including her address), and wrongly accused her of violence. Twitter removed the tweet for invasion of privacy and suspended the police account.

It has been accepted that she was arrested as part of a group of 100 who were blocking traffic and refused to move and she has been charged with unlawful assembly.

Despite everything that's been going on, the Congressional Primaries are still approaching fast.

I'm supporting Mindy Robinson, who is standing in Nevada next week. She is an ardent Trump supporter, but there is something about her that I can't put my finger on.

She is a prolific Hollywood actress and the long-term partner of wrestler Randy Couture, but she is a serious political commentator. She has been retweeted by Don Jr, Lara and even big Daddy Trump, and she gets involved in spats on Twitter not just with liberals, but also with extreme right-wingers. She started her campaign for Congress just as the lockdown began, so has made some videos at home.

I shudder to think how vitriolic this next election campaign is going to be.

Looks like the strategy has changed. They were content to largely sit it out with Joe in his house during the lockdown and let Donald undermine himself. Trump had the advantage of being on the telly every day for a long time, and performed very well at times, but he was always likely to score some own-goals, and did so spectacularly. The election was likely to be a simple referendum on Trump's handling of the Covid crisis, with all the prior craziness made irrelevant. All Joe had to do was make occasional appearances online and not say anything controversial, while Donald shot himself in the foot. And it was working - Biden was well ahead nationally and, crucially, had the lead in most of the Mid-West swing States.

And now everything has changed, and they have obviously judged that the dramatic events make this the time to break out and strike a contrast with Trump. This speech will have reminded people what normal Presidential looks like. It wasn't exceptional - the wording was good but the delivery was average and nowhere near as inspirational as it could have been. Imagine how it would have sounded if Obama or Clinton had delivered those words. But it was good enough.
