... You don't stand at the Opera, or Ballet.
you can buy standing tickets for some Opera and Ballet. Not trying to be awkward.... just saying.
Never knew that.
Where do they congregate?
Not sure if serious
, but the Royal Opera House has standing tickets. We went in the cheapest seats a few years ago. Was an experience. I would recommend it, after all the upgrade cost us a billion or so. It is such a nice building, and a waste to leave it to the hoorays.
I did a count at the interval. There were 8 bottles of beer and precisely a gazillion bottles of champagne. Think there were 6 bottles of beer left at the end of the break and we drank exactly 2.
I didn't know, but you can't tempt me to go.
My love for opera is almost as intense as tikay's for a show called
The Celebrity T20 Wrestling in the Jungle On Ice Song Contest
.
It is just a musical in Italian. I can't stand musicals either. The building is just glorious and you can just go for that. My missus was a bit peed off when I got my newspaper out. Apparently it isn't the done thing. She never asked if I wamted to go again.
There is the most beautiful smoking terrace overlooking Covent Garden, or at least there used to be. Right up there with the one at the Royal Festival Hall. Probably couldn't stand them now.
Tommy: Love to hear more about Kazakhstan too. I looked up Almaty earlier. Looks to be some setting for a city. Would love to know about those mountains, skiing/walking etc.

Great news that away games are capped. I spent £41 going to villa park earlier this season for some crap football, but worst of all they couldn't/ wouldn't serve alcohol in the away end.

The home fans probably drank it all, after having to put up with the shit they're putting out on the park.

Obviously good news
In my opinion being charged £16 for a conference south game is a bigger scandal than being charged £40 for a premiership game.
Same goes for League Two and League One

gate receipts a much bigger proportion of club income. not as easy to cut
across the 20 clubs in the prem this will cost £33m and all 40 are at least £40m better off from the new deal so its not a big cost to do it

No doubt about that
However purely on what you are watching you will struggle to see a bigger difference in quality in any sport for something quite closely priced.
Since i have started scouting a lot of "old boys" tell me they cant afford to support their non league side that is madness. Obviously players are paid at that level far to much for their ability.
