Sad to hear of the passing of Karl Lagerfeld.

No idea what his claim to fame was really, but always an interesting look about him. Think he made clothes & stuff.

He was 85.

He had a cat named Choupette, who has 50,000 followers on Twitter.

RIP Mr Lagerfeld.

A true style icon who was the creative director of Chanel for an amazing 36 years. He designed an incredible diverse range of goods from affordable items like glasses that the ordinary man in the street could buy to top end eye wateringly expensive items.

There is a great piece on his achievements worth reading in the Runway section of Vogue, link is here, and they also have a 32 page celebration of his work as well.

The cat got all the cream, too.

Mark Hollis, lead singer of Talk Talk has died.   Hard to overstate just how good their last two albums were.

Read this somewhere yesterday and was hoping it wasn't true. They stood head and shoulders above many bands and so many have said how much Talk Talk inspired them. RIP Mark, a musical genius.

Always loved this Guy Garvey Quote

Mark Hollis started from punk and by his own admission he had no musical ability. To go from only having the urge, to writing some of the most timeless, intricate and original music ever is as impressive as the moon landings for me

A little hyperbolic, but not massively so.

Guy Garvey did a 2 hour show devoted to Spirit of Eden not long ago on 6music, I hope they repeat it.

He doesn't even play my favourite track; Inheritance.

Changed the world?

Am I missing something?

RIP anyway. He certainly changed the way my bike seat feels.

All inventions change the world to some extent. But my post was made with my tongue firmly in my cheek.

Duct tape is pretty amazing though, and it changed Sam Wills’ life.

Farewell, Mr Andrew Preview.  I know relatively little of your music career, but you were part of my favourite comedy sketch of all time.

RIP Andre Previn.
