how long have they been playing this frame ? seems like forever !

I believe that's because it actually has been forever.

Now the longest ever at the crucible

I'm getting really fed up with the commentary, all they're doing is slagging off the 2 players after every shot

I'm not saying it isnt tense kev, but its they way they are playing it - that last frame for example, Dott needed one red to win the frame (probably) - instead of going for the pot all out, he played the percentage shot, on the basis that he if he missed he was going to leave it safe.

Thats quite frankly, to use a ITB saying, RUBBISH !!
