Townsend? 4 goals in 11 for us, been MOTM probably half of the game, fully fit now and a bunch of assists. Has shown very good form when playing for England and does well going back and forward, Roy also loves him.

Currently 12/1.

That one is less time sensitive, so it can await Tighty.

PS - 12/1 for what?

to get in england squad

You need to slow down and start asking yourself these questions.

What price is my tip?
What are the reasons it is value at that price?

I don't think we can answer the first question yet.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Epic viewing if anyone has an hour to kill.

Had to do it in two stints, because I was working, but just finished now, and thought it was very good.

Can't think of any other chairmen you'd get doing that. I knew he chattered with fans on Twitter, but surprised he spends an hour yapping with them on the old periscope Cheesy

Hard not to root for Peterborough, when they have a chairman like that.

Wouldn't want to be a manager under DMac but what a chairman! Today was much more like it, 3-0 up and need a late goal to go back in front, 12mins of injury time, loads of subs.

Tips for Tikay went over £10K in profit for the first time.
Quite an impressive achievement, certainly worthy of a little celebration.

It may also be worth noting that Marky147 has moved into the bottom three in the bookies/agents table. Smiley
"Tips for Tikay" would be greatly affected if it did not have "agents" to place bets with bookies where it is persona non grata (but perhaps we could make an exception for Marky147).

EDIT: Figures adjusted as 3 additional bets have now been closed in April.

Yeah, he's deffo the most reachable suit that I'm aware of in Football.

Saw the goals flashing up on SSN this afternoon, and was just shaking my head as the other team clawed it back Cheesy

Wow, well done all, these figures are just stunning, & not bad for a bunch of recreationals having some punting fun, guided by some real Elders & experts.

Total closed bets: 5,648
Amount wagered: £168,701.86
Profit/loss: £10,052.24
ROI: 5.96%

With over 5,500 bets, we can't say it's sample size.

Football has made £4,700 @ an ROI of 11.8%, Horse Racing £2,300 at an ROI of 5.5%, & "Misc" £2,000 at an ROI of 26%.

Big thanks to everyone involved, especially the Elders who have guided us, and let's not forget Mere & Tighty, without whom it could not have happened.

Also, let's not forget Fred's Dad, Mr Camel, who started it all with these words on January 25th, 2012;

No-one else is going to start this thread, so I'm going to start it myself.

Our hero is teetering on the brink of getting back into sports gambling, but is resisting because he reckons, deep down, he's a mug punter.

So I reckon with all the good sports betting punters (and Boldie too) on here, we can tun Tiikay from ice cream to shark.

The idea is for him to start with a bank of £1000, and for people to regular posters to chip in with selections with a maximum stake of 5% of his current bank.

I had quit punting over 10 years earlier, after being a lifelong ice cream, & never wanted or felt the urge or desire to punt again. I had not had one bet during that decade-long sabbatical. I did not want to do Fred, either, for fear of becoming addicted to punting again.

Over 5,500 bets later, I'm pleased to say I still don't have the urge to bet for betting's sake, so that's a big relief. Outside of Fred I almost never have a bet, the exceptions being when close friends mark my card privately with various bets, & I enjoy a mini-punt during Cheltenham & Golf Majors.

The whole thing is amazing, really. And we are still free to view.

Profit yesterday £1292

Winners

Wigan win league one £1010

Kommander Kirkup at Thirsk £625. took a bit of detective work to find a photo

Rosberg pole position in Sochi £22

Losers

Stormy Antarctic in the guineas -£100

Ballesteros at Thirsk -£20

Peterboro cannot finish any higher than 13th in league one. loss of (13-5)*20 = -£160 on the spread bet

Cambridge finished outside the top 7 of league 2, a late plymouth equaliser meant they cannot catch wimbledon -£30

Stoke -£50

Aberdeen -£5 (unless they overcome an adverse 30 goal goal difference next week)

to add in today, Grimsby finished outside the top 3 of the conference with a last day loss at tranmere , so -£50 on the e/w double with Wigan

ongoing

Vital win for Newcastle and for us, with £240 on Norwich and Sunderland to go down

The late goal at the Britannia was defo germane to the table. Newcastle have Villa next.

Watford came from behind twice to beat Villa. Long of season points at 35.5 they now have 44

the Bournemouth top goalscorer situation with two games to go

King 6, Wlson 5, Afobe 4, Cook 4. We are on King

In the championship Charlton won at Leeds. Long of charlton points at 57.5 they now have 40, so this was three points off the bill

Long of Leeds +3.5 points v Preston in a match bet, that result wasn't such good news, and nor was Preston winning at Reading

Points now Preston 61, Leeds 58

in league one Chesterfield cannot now be relegated, so i closed off those positions. (the stake was covered by a betfair lay)

Grigg scored so with a game to go the league one top goalscorer looks like this

Grigg 24, Ajose 22, Sharp 21

Rooney is back from injury for Aberdeen and scored yesterday after ten weeks out. One game to go, top 3 paid e/w

Griffiths 30, Hemmings 21, Rooney 20, Moult 15

Sochi positions for today

russian grand prix   rosberg   13/10   20
russian grand prix points   perez   11/8   50
russian grand prix top 6   massa   6/5   25

Rosberg on pole, Massa qualified 5th and Perez qualified 7th and bumped up a place with Vettel's penalty
