Bizarre hand goes against Marc Goodwin, he raises to 2,100 preflop. Bets 3,600 on a
flop and then 8,000 on an
turn before the river goes check check where he finds his opponent called him with
on the flop.
'Exasperation' would probably best describe Marc Goodwin's mood.
Snoopy's table got broken and he moved to Goodwin's table sitting with Mark Friedman and James Akenhead. A superstitious beagle went and actually got his own chair from the table before and moved over to the new one...

Some More Chip Counts
Dave Penly: 60k
Jamie Brown: 33k
Snoopy: 18k
The three players below are all on Table Goodwin/Friedman and indeed that's where their chips seem to have come from - Mark Friedman is down to 60k and Marc Goodwin is down to 19k from his earlier 40k. Oops.
Jonathan Gale: 40k
Michael Moore (different Michael Moore, NOT he of Bowling For Columbine etc fame): 25k
D. Mitchell: 25k

Cheryl Pulver-ised
Too easy, that pun. Apologies.
Jerome Bradpiece made it some k from the cutoff and Cheryl went over the top of him from the button for another 4.2k. With some reluctance, but certain that he was priced in, Jerome called.

After
Andreas
Hoivold
bets the turn of a
board,
Ian
Woodley
makes the call and
Nik
Persaud
passes. The river is the
, and Hoivold checks with Woodley firing out a hefty 4,525 and says, "What you going to put me on now?" leaving the Norwegian looking perplexed. He thinks for ages before whispering, "
...? So sick..."
Woodley has remained quietly and motionless for a couple of minutes but now calls for a clock. Dena comes over and tells Andreas he has one minute to make a decision for a significant portion of his chips and you can see the cogs are working as opposed to many players who 'Hollywood' it up these days when never looking like their calling.
"I can't put you on a hand," declares the former EPT Dortmund champion, but he still looks reluctant to push any more chips into the pot.
After about 15 seconds though, the decision is made and Hoivold, who looked like he was going to fold pretty much the whole time, decides instead to call. Woodley sinks back in his chair a little, "Good call," and proceeds to muck his cards. Hoivold turns over
.
"It was a good bet," says Persaud sympathetically, "Not a weakish, silly 3.2k that I would've bet, but a full-on proper bet and there's a lot of hands you could have, I reallly thought you might have A-8 there."

Dave Colclough and Elliot Peterman made it as far the turn of a
board before Colclough got his chips in - he check-raised all in to a 3.2k bet from Peterman. Colclough turned over
, but Peterman was holding
, and the
river couldn't save El Blondie, who is now El Outie.

Shortly before the break, Mr James Akenhead made what would be his last move of the tournament. Michael Moore (NOT the Michael Moore of TV Nation and other provocative documentary works) limped in, as did Snoopy on the button. Akenhead then moved all in from the big blind, and most unexpectedly, Moore called. Less unexpectedly, Snoopy folded.
Moore:
Akenhead: the not-so-hot
Board:
And he's a goner.

Matthew McKinlay is a goner. His
shoveaments were no match for Mikey Tse's
on a blankety blank board.
Martyn Bebb is also out, he couldn't beat Sami Yusuf's
on a
flop with
despite additional help on the
turn due to a blank river and then his A-9 was no match for Kiem Huynh's pocket eights.
Players are on a short break and they'll be playing one more level or down to two tables, whichever is quicker.

Oh dear, a most unfortunate occurrence for Harry Delahunt, resulting in him being OUT of this tournament.
He shoved under the gun, but apparently Andreas Hoivold didn't notice and attempted to raise to 3k in mid position. The floor was called over and it was ruled that he could either call for a few k more or fold and give up the bet he put in. He called.
Delahunt:
Hoivold: "I have one overcard."
Board:
Poor Mr Delahunt, what a dreadful way to bust. Mr Hoivold was most apologetic.
