Meanwhile Nik Persaud has been enjoying some good fortune, betting out 2k on the river of board with 5k in the pot already and less than 2k behind, and thus inducing a call from James Price. "Ace jack?" asked Nik sa he flipped over for the full house. "Yes," said a dejected Price, and admitted that if Nik had shoved for his whole stack on the river, he would probably have folded. "i thought so," said Nik, "That's why I opted for the small gay raise." Good to know.

Julian Thew is out, on a three clubs board against . No help and Yo-yo is off to the town of El Busto (which does actually exist in Spain, incidentally).

JJ Hazan is also out. Looked like Aces cracked by Tony Cascarino's Q-T.

Pete Singleton has doubled up with a set of fours on an eight-high board against Alex 'AlexMartin' Martin's A-8.

Players Who Look Much Less Threatening At The Tables When They're Eating Lollipops

The kind folks at G Casino Thanet have brought out dishes of sweeties for our hard-working poker players.

Andreas Hoivold:

James Akenhead:

Cristiano Blanco:

Mickey Wernick:

Snoopy, meanwhile, has eschewed the candy for a more savoury potato-based snack. He's a potato chip monster!

Among those who seem to have benefited from the sugar rush is Jerome "Hibernating Bear" Bradpiece. He has just doubled up, getting it in I believe on the turn of a board holding against Martyn Robinson's . Jerome now up to around 20k and at liberty to resume hibernating, while the unfortunate Robinson is rather short.

Big call from Laurence Houghton looking at a two hearts board after Efty Neocleous made a hefty large overbet on the river for Houghton's entire stack. Houghton called and Neocleous quickly folded but the former still had to show his hand. His was good.

Speaking of big calls, David Wells made a sizeable bet on the river of a three clubs Two Diamonds board, Joe Grech called and Wells flipped a distinctly unpromising , saying after he turned over the cards, "I thought I had 5-4 and had missed!"

Even more bizarrely, Joe Grech mucked. Nice value bet sir.

Update requestaments from the casino staff concerning the below gentleman, Kiem Huynh, incidentally a sufferer of cerebral palsy so they identified him as "the guy in the wheelchair" (easy enough).

Anyway, Mr Huynh is still on around his starting stack. Most recently I saw him bet a mere 200 on a Two Diamonds board, and then lay it down when Aaron Smith made it 800 to go.

Let us know any other requestaments you might have, by the way, and we will do our damnedest to find out their status. Probably after the dinner break at this rate.

Hoodie Of The Day

For shame, poker players! There is a definite dearth of amazing hoodies here today and I am loath to declare Snoopy winner of Hoodie Of The Day as he'll never shut up about it, so I am reduced to awarding the title to Jeff Kimber, playing tomorrow. An excellent hoodie, though, I'm sure you will agree. Here it is in all its garish glory:

Awesome Bling Item Of The Day

This rhinestone ipod (a rhinepod, if you will) the property of Cheryl Pulver:

Thank you sir, this little yellow man tips his hat to you:

Unless Floppy finds out something astounding about him in the next 2 minutes, I will be checking up on Mr Blanco first thing after the dinner break.

Merci boucouuuuuup!

Edit: Also, if you could be so kind to wish him good luck from Gab, that would be incredibly appreciated and I'd love you forever!
