River of the day

Spencer Lawrence raises to 1,500 from UTG and Dave Penly calls with 4-3. The flop turned up and Dave check/raised what he felt was a weakish 1,800 bet to around 5,000. Lawrence then moved all-in for an additional 13,000 or so and Dave called thinking he needed to hit against an overpair. Lawrence though was holding and behind to the pair, though Dave no doubt would've preferred to see the overpair as Lawrence would never be drawing dead on the turn with his flush draw and gutshot.

The turn put Lawrence in the driving seat with the , but the river was the Two Diamonds and Dave made his straight eliminated the WSOP triple finalist and going up to 60k himself.

Another doubler-upper is James Morgan, getting his chips in with on a two spades flop against Henry Browne's Two Clubs.

Turn:
River:

All is well until the table is broken before the next hand, when Morgan realises that he has been short-changed - it looks like the dealer counted one of Morgan's stacks of 500 chips as Browne's, and so Morgan's stack is around 5k short. I believe it was deemed too late to do anything about it though...
