One other thing for totalise - normally I bet out if I have a hand, very little point trapping in cash I think.
Exception would be if u know for sure that a maniac is around who will bet anything, or a good aggressive player is around that you know will bet his hands behind you if he's made one. I know James reasonably well, I'd say he's a very good & aggressive player. I pretty well knew that if he had some kind of hand and he bet the flop he'd bet the later rounds. If I get outdrawn here then I'll take it on the chin and move on.

Didn't put flushy betting a draw on the flop, top or second pair was my thinking. So turn card didn't worry me and I can honestly say that my huge personal wealth (chirp) makes fear a non factor these days when I'm playing for fun only. Also, if I thought he'd made str8, good chance I'd have raised to find out and then probably still called the re-raise anyway.
Hoped he might have made 2 pair on turn, didn't expect a call on the end but was natch pleased to get one. James has plenty of money from me on our old 3/6 limit days so was pleased to take a percentage back :-) couldn't help mentioning it was me on here as did feel a bit deceitful that he didn't know my new name on blonde.
As flushy points out - I'm working on getting my flops seen percentage as close to 80% as I can, I think that's my secret tip for all potential cash game players - "see every flop" should be pinned to your PC and you should self-harm if you get fearful and miss one. I'd arrived at the table betting, raising and losing so hard to figure what I could have been holding I would hope.

And, so far as a cash game is concerned - there's no way you're getting away - strange thing is - because it was you and I'm used to seeing you bullying in tourneys, I couldn't put you on such a strong hand.

Sometimes flushy old boy you just come up against a better, albeit unorthodox cash game player. I've been doing well recently. At least be happy you handed it over to a mate :-)

Was looking forward to the ones featuring Hellmuth after people's descriptions here. Saw the first one last night.. didn't disappoint. Was very funny.
Is it just me missing some nuances of the cash bit is negreanu down so much cause he is just playing very badly ?

That is a gold mine !! And I'm only up to B...
So many bands I saw live, Birthday Party, Black Flag, Bauhaus (very homage like rendition of Ziggy Stardust), Anti Nowhere League for some comedy value, Adam Ant (just when they went un cool as far as our narrow view of life was then) and the only 'Disco Band' I ever liked ABC - great video for look of love.
Very fond memories.

"There will always be extremist nutters and religious zealots who decree homosexuality and they are easy to deal with".
This was something Camel said and it illustrates how perfectly impossible it is to please everyone and for the most PC person to be PC all the time.
Harking back to some childhood memories, teaching of values / morals tended to be inextricably linked with religion. I'm not a religious person and very far from perfect but some kind of code, social responsibility is at the back of my mind all the time.
Anyway, the point is the linking of a 'set of values' for want of a better expression ( as opposed to the anarchy of complete self gratification/hedonism ) to 'religion' has probably stayed with me.
As a result, and I mean this genuinely, I have always found blasphemy offensive. Some would say there is no such concept as blasphemy but to me there is and it offends me. Not to the point of screaming it from the rooftops but it never sits well when I hear it.
Now Camel's remarks get nowhere near blasphemy but other peoples views don't line up with his and so he finds it acceptable to use the phrase "extremist nutters & religious zealots" about people who think differently. I am sure there are many Christians. Muslims et al who would find this offensive - to be sure they are unlikely to be the natural constituency of a poker forum but I am sure there are some people of faith here who would prefer not to be described as a nutter or zealot for their personal faith and choices.

Could panth hurry up with the list of approved insults for flushie cause I'm struggling to find ones funny but inoffensive.
Sincerely tho flushie, I for one, have never been in doubt about your sexuality..... not that there's anything wrong with your choice.
Now lets all shake hands and get a sauna !
