Imagine it's like July 4th now, which is a PITA downtown, with all the barriers and guards checking you in/out of the FSE. That said, I'm a raspberry, and it's a lot more aggro when you're drink driving a mobility scooter
I'd probably just be looking to mooch about, and you can flit around on the strip, and try downtown as well.

Actually, it was a while back now I think of it - NYE 2010, so it might be much more restrictive now- free rein on Fremont St when i was there back then

Thanks all.
Beer park is $400 for bottle of vodka and terrace table for 2. You also get access to Chateux nightclub. Thought process was great people watching spot with loads of people on strip plus across from Bellagio fountains. Pretty sure they will have bands on and stuff. Negatives as Stuart says may be a bit bored and already $500 (with tip)in hole if we sack it off.
Tenacious D are doing a new year show that goes across bells. That sounds like fun at Hard Rock. Downsides away from strip party and outdoor shenanigans
$40 for downtown tickets with light shows and 12 bands (guess local not headliners). Again may be a bit shit compared to strip
Wife loves Bruno Mars. He is playing Arena and sense will be PAing a club but don’t know where yet!
Decisions decisions!!!
Don’t remember Glenn??? That sounds like what I am aiming for

Not sure I would get it through but Tenacious D on NYE sounds amazing to me!

Do well to find a more fun night in the city than that.

Think I'd pay good money to watch Tenacious D, got a man crush on both Jack & Kyle. I do air guitar to their stuff.
There shined a shiny demon, in the middle of the road

This is the winner. Forget about the Strip and just spend the night at Hard Rock.

https://hardrockhotel.com/press/tenacious-d-to-perform-new-year-ae-s-eve-at-the-joint-monday-dec-31-at-11-p-m/2
Starts at 11pm so go nicely through Bells and only $60-80. Save me a wedge too!

Anyone done Vegas for New Year?
Any tips for New Years Eve? Staying 30th to 8th, seems a few options. Downtown party, on the strip, various gigs and club parties? Views would be welcome. I can get a table at the Beer Park for $400 that sounded like a reasonable idea with location but scared I will be missing out!
Did it quite a few years ago. I’d forget the clubs unless you really must.....we just did a crawl around various bars along the strip with a bit of gambling mixed in and came out to watch the fireworks at midnight.
Also got engaged lol......that sure worked out

Virgin offering 40% buy miles bonus for November. The miles needed chart has definitely got worse from the days where 100K miles got you upper return to LV, but it is still a pretty simple maths play to consider buying yourself a cabin upgrade.

I booked mine when top economy was £630, and PE was ~£1.3.... Wasn't long left in the sale, so snapped it off, and the next day PE was £730
Tried blagging it, but even with the raspberry card they wouldn't cancel my booking to let me rebook. To be fair, the bird said that she'd put a note on it, and I could use the old man's miles to upgrade at the airport.

Tell him to buy some more miles then!
