The blonde Football Quiz League is planned to be a long-running quiz so basically if you enjoy football quizzes/trivia then sign up in thread. Full details are listed below.  You will not need to be an expert as the questions will be of varying levels. You can leave the game at any time, and join at any time.

• There are 4 leagues of 6 players: The Premiership, The Championship, League One, and League Two.
• Each Season will consist of 15 questions and will be posted in the opening post of this thread as well as in the body of the thread.
• Players will have 48-72hrs after the questions have been posted to PM answers to myself - an exact deadline will always be given.
• At the end of each season, two players will be relegated from The Premiership, The Championship, and League One. If we are at a maximum of 24 players and other players wish to join then there will also be relegation from League Two.
• At the end of each season, two players will be promoted from The Championship, League One, and League Two.
• Knockout cup competitions will also be introduced based on popularity
• Obviously, I cannot monitor it but, googling is against the rules: Simply look at the questions and answer them

+1...although massive FML on question 14. Had no clue, so used the colours in the background to get the right team/country but wrong competition. Then the highlights for that league were on TV an hour or so later and that trophy is shown in the opening credits, inbetween all the highlights and whenever there's a replay of a goal. Sick rubs.

A big well done to TightEnd who won the Premier League with a whopping 14 points, the battle between the champion and horseplayer looks to be an exciting story.

Cream looks to be rising. TightEnd, horseplayer, Tal and maldini32 all look solid and been joined by craigbetts and Longy in the Premier League who have both been promoted two seasons in a row. In fact, craigbetts has won two leagues in two seasons.

Looking down the leagues, Rubbish2407 might be a player in The Championship next season after 2 consistent scores, whilst League One could be a stroll for dino1980 who scored 13 points in League Two this season.

I think I'm pitching the questions right at the moment, I would expect the average to be about 10-11 and that looks about right. Whilst I would also expect the winners to be getting the scores they are.

Won't it mean that you put up a quiz for Round 2 that half your customers can't take part in; one for Round 3 that three-quarters can't take part in, etc?

Not the highest scoring match of the round but it was end to end and eventually sweet potata! did just enough to squeeze through to the 2nd round. The picture question is proving tricky and costs another player their place in the next round.

Cheers Waz, unlucky there, great tie!

Season Three kicks off today under a mass of excitement and we are sure for some drama as the season unfolds. In the Premier League, TightEnd will start as the favourite after scoring a massive 14 points in Season Two but will he be able to hold off the impressive horseplayer and Premier League newcomer craigbetts? maldini32 seems like the forgotten man after only two seasons but he has been solid in 3rd place in Season One and Two and will only need slight improvement to become a title challenger. Longy starts as the favourite for relegation but he's had back to back promotions and could prove to be the surprise package.

In the Championship, Sheriff Fatman will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of Season Two relegation and is looking to become a two-time Championship winner. He'll have his hands full though as the likes of Rubbish2407 and superwomble will be sure to make it tough for him. ForthThistle and Silo Graham have been consistent but might need to show some improvement to maintain their Championship spots.

Some players are perhaps in false leagues due to being late to the game or randomly assigned a lower league and that could be the case with dino1980 who scored highly in the second season but still finds himself in League One. He likely starts as the favourite to win the division with discomonkey and toddswain battling it out for the 2nd promotion spot. MintTrav has scored two points in two seasons and looks set for relegation.

League Two looks like it will be close and it is hard to determine who the favourite is with many of the players untried. sweet potata! and Alverton perhaps look most likely to gain promotion but pleno1 talks a good game and could throw a spanner in the works.

Season 3 looked destined to be the toughest season yet and with many players stating the same the scores were expected to be on the lower side. They weren't. TightEnd and horseplayer both scored a maximum 15 points with TightEnd taking the Premier League crown for a 2nd successive season on the tie-break guessing 180 caps for Ahmed Hassan whilst horseplayer guessed 190. He has 184 caps, so close. The two will do battle again this season and will be joined in the Premier League by Rubbish2407 who won his second league in a row after winning League One in Season 2. ForthThistle also made his way into the Premier League after matching Rubbish2407's 13 points but losing out on the title on the tie-break. Those two will replace Longy and maldini32 who were relegated from the Premier League.

Looking down to the lower divisions, League One favourite dino1980 lost out on promotion when, sensationally, his 12 point haul was not enough to finish in the top two as AceHighSuited (14pts) and Waz1892 (12pts) pipped him to the post. Again, a tie-break was needed with Waz1892 closer than dino1980. In League Two, pleno1 looks a potential top player - he has already knocked out Championship player Sheriff Fatman in the cup and in Season 3 he scored an impressive tally of 13 points, enough to top the league. Alverton followed him up to League Two in what was a close league.

I think that is effectively researching, thus I would deem it to be gaining an advantage. I said in the OP that it should be a case of looking at the questions and answering, obviously you can go away and think but looking for pointers is different.

Super hard lines to Tal, finished one point behind horseplayer and TightEnd in the PL and was closer on the tiebreak. Got the Red Lichties wrong and got 2/3 on the Champs League question.

TBF it would be a travesty if I were to win this league. Both of them are mind-blowingly knowledgeable. I have a decent knowledge and a propensity for working out over time/logical guesswork.

With that CL question, I'd written down 5 teams who were possibles (in that I'd remembered them losing twice) but could only pick one for sure as a 3-timer. So 2/3 was a pretty fair score.

There was a piece on sky sports news the day before you put the questions up about Hampden Park. They mentioned almost 50,000 scots singing for their team so add a few away fans and Rab's your uncle.

horseplayer and TightEnd's battle at the top of the Premier League is akin to that of Rangers and Celtic in recent years such is their dominace over the rest of the competition. In Season Four it was horseplayer who got the better of TightEnd and levelled the number of trophies in their cabinets at two. Late on Monday the two were paired together in the quarter-finals of the League Cup and the fans must be relishing the head-to-head battle. Elsewhere in the Premier League, Tal finished a mere 1 point behind the big two and if he'd managed one more correct answer would have topped the league on the tie-breaker. Tal looks like a potential challenger in Season Five. ForthThistle also finished one point off the top two and now looks a legit threat too, whilst Rubbish2407 must be devastated to have been relegated with 12 points, a tally which would have been good enough to top every other league. craigbetts also slipped out of the top league after achieving a respectable 9 points.

sharplea was a comfortable winner of the Championship, scoring a nice 12 points whilst Waz1892 will be excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League next season although after only scoring 8 points to gain promotion he will need to show big improvement. Longy and maldini32 scored low but maintained their Championship status due to two non-answerers.

A close battle in League One ended with dino1980 pinching it from Alverton on a tie-break. Both players scored a solid 10 points but will need to add 2 or 3 more points if they want to gain promotion to the Premier League in Season Five. In League Two, sweet potata! took the crown with 10 points whilst TheChipPrince debuted with 9 points to move into League One at his first attempt.

Season Five should be a cracker, picking the winner of any of the leagues at this stage looks super tough.
