March/April 2008 Won a £50r for £3.2k on a Tuesday at Dtd, beat Rupert Elder heads up pretty sure I was being a bit of a nob (sorry) but was so excited as it meant I was the first woman to win a comp at dusk. Love that I'll always have that 2 weeks later 3rd in Dtd £300 for £5k behind des jonas and pete Linton. Took Joe and lily to Florida for a month with those 2 weeks of poker run good Agree with woodsy and simon too, those gala days were incred. So were the blonde bashs 2007/2008. Loads of fun memories. Don't really play anymore but glad I had those few years met some lovely people

Such a good guy, one of my favourite people I've met playing poker.
That first picture reminds me, that weekend me and Maria were picking Trigg up at the station and drove straight past him lol. The haircut was so drastic at the time we didn't even recognise him....good times

Kevin the bouncer that always used to threaten everyone at gala notts lol
Haha I remember him dealing himself a bad beat vs me with 11 or so left in a tournament and then launched the deck across the room. I thought I was next Was he the guy that had that dodgy boozer on the A46 between Nottingham & Leicester? He was bothered by the dodgy goings-on & poor tourney organisation @ Gala Notts, so organised a private game in the boozer, & got Taffy to run it. You can't make this stuff up, eh? No that was someone else Tony. Mick McCool was involved in that scheme and they actually approached me with an offer to be the TD. I think the Kev they are talking about is Kev Ward who is actually terrific company and has a great dry sense of humour, although he can get slightly emotional when suffering bad beats. He's a very very hard man but I've never seen him lay a finger on anyone in the twenty-odd years that I've known him. Loves a growl though. Perfectly described Ralph. I think Kev would rank in the top 3 of people you've ever known, who you'd least like to get in a fight with. If you'd not met him before and just outdrawn him, (and, God forbid, apologised) then you would have rather been caught stealing Mike Tyson's tiger by the man himself. He did have, as you described, a very dry sense of humour and normally I'd run a mile to get away from a bad-beat story, but he delivered them in such a tired, Les Dawson style world-weariness that I remember crying with laughter every time. love Kev him and Phil on a table together would be my idea of a fun night at poker saw him not so long back at Alea

Got the letter this morning to say my 11 year old daughter Lily has won a full scholarship to Nottingham Girls High School starting in September this year . She performed exceptional in maths and English and very highly in the IQ tests. They also loved her personable and articulate manner! No idea where she gets it all from lol but I'm so proud and so excited for all the opportunities she will get from this, such a great start to the next step in her education. Very proud right now well done Lily xx

Sean I drink lots of water, and walk a ton but have never (other than when at school many moons ago) done real exercise What would recommend as a good way to start building fitness levels? Please don't say gym as I have no intention of setting foot in one sorry
