I guess the most famous and memorable, would be the Shane Warne ball to Gatting at Old Trafford. My mum's side of the family are all from the area and my Grandad was a huge cricket fan but had 3 daughters who were not interested in the slightest, so when I showed an interest in the game from an early age we would go to the Test Match every year up there. It was one of the first years they had TV screens in the ground, so as is often the case at the cricket you are not entirely sure what had happened at such a distance but the gasp that went round the ground when the replay was shown was probably the most memorable thing. Of course it's signficance became greater over the years as Warne proved to be probably the best spinner the game had ever seen.

I imagine you have already struck Sunbury off the list, but my gf has lived there for the last 18 months and it is absolute sod to get to, close to an hour on a train that stops everywhere. Plus it really isn't that nice unless you go to Lower Sunbury near the Thames but that is even a harder public transport trip.

any value in betting Pence at a huge price?

Unless I am missing something this is the chance of Trump dying before the inauguration, right?

what channel is everyone watching the results on?

CNN

Yeah I have found CNN best for previous us elections and got the five thirtyeight live blog up. I like my election nights with results and analysis especially early on.

Visiting Sheffield this weekend and have  tried to do the Hallam one a while back during a previous visit but snow stopped play so looking forward to having a  go this time.

Any Blondes running this one?

Steve

I ran Hallam earlier in the year, it is right near the student area of Sheffield which brought back memories for me. It would be quick if it didn't get such big number 700+ the day I went and the course just isn't wide enough for that so you end up following a lot.

In fact I have done all the Sheffield ones if you want any more advice, Hallam is the flattest of them all.

London and a few of the major cosmopolitan cities have got to be very heavily remain for them to win ?

Very much so, the big question is how much does the North East reflect the rest of the country? It has shown different swings in general elections to the rest of the country.

Obviously good results for leave so far.

I think there is clear difference in standard between the two divisions now and the "test ground" county side now represent the whole of the 1st division with the exception of Somerset. Performing in the 1st division is going to become more and more important to getting the test side.

To be honest in a generations time I can see the domestic scene changing completely and some counties may well disappear from the top domestic competitions.

Have to admit, having seen Bell-Drummond a few times I haven't been that impressed and know a Kent member who has a similar opinion.

Buttler not available for selection playing in the IPL, it was straight choice he was given with ECB blessing.

Think they will go same team that played in South Africa with Vince in for Taylor at 5. To be hones I would be quite happy with that, though Hales and Compton probably only have this up coming series to make an impression.

Will be surprised if we don't beat Sri Lanka comfortably, can't see their batting line up without the two greats in it anymore, scoring many in early summer against our seam attack.

I would look carefully into whether Miami is going to be practical without a car. I have been a few times and it is a sprawling very car centric city. For example the Dolphins stadium is around 10 miles from downtown Miami and pretty much everyone takes a car to the game in my experience. The area round it has little to do and is well away from the other tourist stuff to do.

Just seen you don't drive, sigh that is a bit of a handicap in the states with the exception of a few big cities.

Sounds incred.

I have done similar stuff to this in the past but ironically the only thing on sporting place on your list I have done is been to the Chargers stadium, which to be honest by American sporting stadia is well past its sell by date.

You have UCLA in la and Cal in the Bay Area for more college stuff. Though i would go whole hog with the college stuff when you are in the Deep South as they take ridiculous seriously. If you want an alternative area in the us that is sporting mad I would recommend the Pacific north west, a Seahawks game in particular.

You into the other Big 4 us sports as you will catch the playoffs in baseball and the start of the NBA/NHL season which you could tie into the trip. I would recommend highly NHL games even though it is the least popular of the sports I think it is the best one to watch live.

Not sure how much of a sightseer you are but California is amazing especially with the car. Especially the coastal road from la to San Fran is stunning and Yosemite national park is incred as well.

Basically you can't go wrong apart from watch yourself with the buses, they are very ghetto. I personally would stick with hire cars and planes but if you are on a strict budget then fair dos.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, this is a bit of a specialist subject of mine!
