    Awful shot and Mercer pays the price. The ball wasn't short enough to pull, but Mercer tried to, and instead dragged a huge bottom edge back into his stumps.

He did however give his wicket away in the last over for his first career century getting himself out for 117!!

I guess i owe my monkey scout an extra banana in his pay packet for unearthing him

    The ball was dug in short and this one's for the air hostess as Hone tried to pull it away. Badly top edged and Mercer took a superb catch at short square leg.

I'm hoping its going to be a short afternoon's work - its supposed to be a pitch for spinners and my two all-rounder spinners might not get a chance to bowl!!
