Hopefully it signifies that there is money to be spent on improving the side to compete properly in the league and Europe (Europa League, obviously) from the new owners. Can't the see point in bringing someone like this in unless there is money to spend.
Someone told me (not sure if he's a scout or not) about a player who's in Spain at the moment who'd be ideal for the LFC midfield. His name's Xabi Alonso or something...

#LFC need a chief scout with global connections so there's a role for Comolli. As long as he keeps out of Hodgson's way.
Very much this. I hope he's not in sole control of transfers.

I can't think of many bad players he bought more that sometimes players were bought because they were good rather than because they were needed.

Could just be a good bit of PR, but I liked it anyway.

Lucas and Meireles are controlling the game. Kuyt has been outstanding. Torres obv.

With Lucas playing like this please never let Poulsen start again. WP Konchesky and Kelly too. Kelly will be some player.
Meireles looks class.

Yeah, 100% looking the part now.
He was brilliant, and that's no overstatement. Any coincidence that he was playing alongside Gerrard in the middle? Lucas was man of the match for me today.
Kuyt was very important too, so good to have him back. Torres with two quality finishes, he's starting to find his touch in front of goal.
All five in defence were outstanding. Skrtel has been poor, but him and Carragher were solid today.
So, Hodgson gets the credit for this one as he's been blamed for the bad performances? Virtually the same players, but today they gave a great performance. Crisis, what crisis?

Even with Torres' goals the MOTM has gone to Lucas amongst the LFC boards. Amazing how Sky ignored his contribution in favour of Gerrard.
VWD to Hodgson. I'm hoping he proves me totally wrong.
