Yeah, I should have said, it's the German one - like the Community Shield.

Lovren with Liverpool's second Smiley

I see, should have realised i guess.  Great start and good to see an early potential of an avenue for more goals from the back.

Lovren is living up to his billing.  If he continues to play like this for the rest of the season then he's going to prove to be a bargain (whether he was £14m, £16m or £20m).  So assured with and without the ball - and exactly what Liverpool need to marshall the defence.  Emre Can looking every bit the player as well.

Johnson playing left back?

Has done it several times before. Only real weak spot/concern.

Has a battle this season to keep his place, whether that be LB or RB.

Manquillo playing well, and Johnson playing a lot better than he has been of late.

The whole side are playing at a very good tempo, and although it's not a full-strength Dortmund, it bodes well for the start of the season.

Coutinho's made it 3-0 from a delightful pass from Sterling - who is looking frightening.  In fact, the pace throughout the team is going to scare some opposition defenders.

Oh my. Oh my. What a goal. I was already exciting, and expecting, but this has whetted the appetite even more so

If you get a chance to see the fourth goal - it's utter quality (there was an offside pass in it, but we'll ignore that for now Cheesy).

Not a natural full-back for me.  Defensively pretty sound at right-back, but has to work at going forward.  When he does, he's not that bad and can deliver a decent ball, but he's never going to set the world on fire offensively.

For me, he's a centre back.

Solid though, and an honest player who'll give his all every time he plays.
