Or you might just have done what Spurs did when they sold Bale!

Just don't see it .

For a start, Liverpool have Sturridge who scored as many goals as Bale scored for Spurs the season before he left. That was playing in a side with Suarez scoring all his goals and Gerrard taking all the penalties.

Spurs didn't have a Sturridge.

Other than adding a marquee striker, Liverpool have strengthened the squad throughout, from back to front, but it's not a wholesale change of the starting offensive line. Spurs seemed to sign players for the sake of it, rather than picking players who'd fit in to their system.

Also, Liverpool have Rodgers in charge, not AVB.

Liverpool will score fewer the last season in all probability, but it's also likely that fewer goals will be conceded. It'll be interesting to see what the net result will be.

Liverpool had a stand-out superstar player, but actually scored more goals per game when he was absent (it's true, look at the stats). Spurs were completely dependent on Bale.

Of course, that's all my opinion. I'm sure someone will tell me I'm talking out of my arse.

Quite shocked to see Adam Morgan coming on for St Johnstone, few years back he was gonna be the next Robbie Fowler.

Did he just stop improving or did his social life affect his development?

Similar to John Welsh, who was U21 England captain, and meant to be the next Gerrard. He wasn't good enough and certainly wasn't fast enough.  Morgan was never quite at the level some hoped he'd be. Happens quite a lot as they come through from junior level.

Jordan Rossiter is the next young hope. It'll be interesting to see how he progresses, but he's certainly got the talent and potential.

Been an absolutely brilliant window imo. We've signed players that are of excellent quality and ready to go straight into the first team. The squad is so balanced now, apart from the obvious striker shortage.

This is the most excited I've been going into a season, genuinely think we're gonna really close again.

WE GO AGAIN!

Ty, loving your optimism - got a sneaking suspicion you might be right… thumbs up

Anyone want a friendly prop bet highest finish between United and Liverpool? Boshi? Loser has to buy and wear the Liverpool/Man U kit for a deepstack?

Great bet, as thats more hurtful and scarier than losing £x!!  I would take you up for a bit of fun, but deepstacks are too much for me i'm afraid to say.

It'll be close this season, hope someone takes you up

Sounds a bit grim, but go on - I'll take that bet, even though you should be giving me a few points as well Wink.  Feel dirty just thinking about wearing a united shirt.

Is it just me that harks back to the days of your best 11 being numbered 1 to 11  ?

Glad someone took the bet I'd have taken it myself but I don't play the deepstacks unfortunately

Not heard or seen anything about him during preseason (tell a lie, he played against Shamrock), so guess the plan is to loan him out again. He's not got a first team squad number (don't think so anyway) .
