did you boys see your england U19 captain in action in the week?

http://www.thefa.com/video/England/Mens-U19s/2010-11/England-2-0-Slovakia

great freekick and some other really superb moments. a couple of great through balls and I'm loving his play at 1.05 and 2.25

goal for ngoo as well

Saw this - he looks an undoubted star of the future

We have a few decent free-kick takers in the side now.  Hopefully some of them can take corners and get Gerrard off them!

think I may have mentioned this before. 1st time I saw shelvey play he did something I've never seen before or since with a free kick. from about 25 yards out he curled it a long way round the wall and into the bottom corner but the ball never left the ground. there's just no way any keeper can ever see it coming

Well, hope he gets to play a few games and gets a chance to take some kicks.  Gerrard, Aurelio, Meireles and Shelvey - a nice choice of takers (assuming they get to play).

I swear Branco did this or similar a few years ago in the WC. Could be wrong though but I remember it being sick.

It's comical alright, but when i heard Pepe had a miserable match with a howler I was glad it was nowt more than an unlucky slip.
