You cant put CL qualification in a trophy cabinet, as a gooner you should know the stick that has been used to beat Wenger with is the lack of silverware, surely thats what the game is all about , winning things no?!!!!
I am simply stating what I as a fan would prefer, I'm not attacking or defending anyone here.

As a Liverpool fan I would take a trophy over CL qualification. Liverpool were never going to challenge for the league this year, and were always going to struggle with getting top 4. With that in mind I couldn't care less where we finish in the league. Dalglish should use the remaining league games to blood the youngsters imo

It's nice to win trophies obviously, but for Liverpool and Arsenal a good league campaign is important as well. I don't think the League Cup win will paper over the cracks this season, but an FA Cup win as well would probably salvage the season.
This season was meant to show progression and a team being built. A long way to go obviously.

The only plus from yesterday was Sterling getting a run out. Should have been given more than 10 minutes though. But he looked like he could well deliver on his promise. Hope he gets some starts in the league too.

But why when they are so inconsistant were Wigan priced at 12/1 not 1/1 ! Not that i'm complaining. Just don't understand why they were overpriced

"When a £35 million striker and a £20 million midfielder turn out to be appalling, the simplistic demand is for another cheque to be signed. Supporters work out the profits from sales, subtract the fees from purchases and use this an excuse for buying pap. It is desperately feeble. "

Pretty certain any Newcastle fan would take winning a trophy over a CL spot but it's a bit different since we've waited a billion years for one.
