Sounds like West Ham are interested in Downing for a reported £6M.
As Suarez would do, I'd bite their arm off.
Meh , i'm really not bothered if he stays.Seems unlikely now that we will be getting a new left back and i think he would be an adequate replacement for Enrique after ten games when his form declines.
Good point that he's a good cover for left-back. The problem is that he light be played on the wing - and that's not a great thing most of the time.

Sturridge scored 10 goals in 14 league games last season
Irrespective of the Suarez transfer situation, he's out for the first part of the season
First league game its Sturridge and Aspas up front?
Just one of them?
Can we expect Sturridge to be a 20 gals a season man this season? Does this depend on playing off Suarez? (he gets extra space from the attention Suarez gets?)

No IMO.
Although he will get plenty of chances ,his conversion rate is just not good enough , again IMO.
Also seems to be very injury prone so would expect at least one period of absense this season.
I would be very happy with a return of 12.
Not really sure if Brenda will play two up top , more likely Sturridge up front with Aspas deeper.

If he plays 30odd games, then I think 15+ is most do-able. confidence isn't an issue for sure, and I think he'd thrive on leading the front. With Aspas, Courtinho and Gerrard all behind him supplying and creating space, I think the Suarez effect is irrelvant to his own performances

Sturridge doesn't look comfortable as a the lone striker, and don't think he's as effective in that role as when he has a foil to play off.
It'll be interesting to see what Rodgers does with the side, and how he has the team lining up (both with and without Suarez). Coutinho could well be a key player for Liverpool this season, and looks like a fantastic talent.

Id expect Aspas to start as the striker as part of a front 3 for the Stoke game. Sturridge has only just made his first preseason appearance off the bench in the Celtic game. He will take over the position later in the Suarez ban but for me its too soon for him. Also i do expect him to get 20 goals this season, maybe 15 in the league and 5 in the cups. Looked lively and hungry in the Celtic game, will want to get minutes and goals to get back to the England squad.

I expect aspas to start the season upfront but only because strurridge has had no pre season, also find it unlikely he will play two up top would love to see coutinho play in a free role behind the striker

Aly Cissokho the left back ? Decent addition if so, although he doesn't seem to have progressed to as high a level as once was predicted for him.Time will tell if he is a good buy.
Guess this means the Siqueira deal is off then , would have preferred him tbh , seems to have a bit of quality.

Yeah, that's the one.
I've never heard of him, but got told it's done and dusted.

Confirmed season long loan. Currently in talks with Willian but i would imagine his wage demands would be very high.
