A guy on the DC had a little mini DVD player, with a tinsy-winsy creen, & had earphones plugged in, & was watching films. Sorry, movies.

WTF would you go to a card-room & do that?

To stop him doing this perhaps Wink

I ran two other daft bluffs too, both worked.

Then I played properly (or tried to), & dribbled off £500 by poor play & loose Calls, so ended up £30 down.

So, a £500 lucky profit peed away, & I'm forking out £2k on the car.

I need my head read.

To be fair its not so mini

Id say about 80% the size of a laptop

At what point do things become too much?

Not sure if it is the same chap but when I was last in a man in a Hawaiian type shirt was doing this, largish portable DVD, headphones in, paying no attention to the game except to look at his cards, act, and then look at the screen on a side table again

That night was a live football night, and people were discussing unfolding events. The person next to Mr Hawaii said "shhh, he's watching the football on his screen here"

Hawaii 5-0 takes headphones out and tells table "no its ok, I'm watching Match of the Day from three weekends ago, just don't tell me the scores from that weekend please"

Do you think the casino could/would/should do anything about the guy watching the movies?

TBF i think he prefered Haagen-Dazs

He keeps it on the table rather than on the side

I'm wondering what other activities could be done at the poker table.

I'm thinking of taking in some vegetables, a chopping board, a knife and some tupperware boxes. Do a bit of prep for tomorrow nights tea in between hands.

Is that another chirp James?

OK, tell us once more. What did you shoot? 84 was it?

Winter Tees I imagine? Who maked your card?

There you go, volley that in the net.

The saga of the windscreen wipers & the UK's worst BWM Dealership (Berry BMW, Heathrow) continues apace. Well, slowly.

They rung me last night, after another full day on the problem. Imagine the cost of that if they charged £240 on Wednesday not to fix it.....Allegedly. "Still can't trace the fault, Sir, it's very complicated, not like just popping a new Control Box in, see?"

So, another night stuck in London, & now I have to stay until Sunday, as I have 2 Live Shows tomorrow, so no sense going home today. So another night in the Hotel, & more taxi fares. And I'm running out of clean socks, shirts & knickers. Sky Poker kindly arranged a car for me last night, as I was in the middle of some heavy stuff.

I decided to ring the BMW dealership this morning & tell them I was going to take the car away from them. Bit awkward that, as it's peeing down with rain here....

They rung me instead. "We've discovered the fault now Sir. We have to order the Part, should be here 1pm or 2pm, then we have to pop it in for you".

After some argy bargy back & forth, they decided it would DEFINITELY be ready. By Monday. "We don't work weekends, obviously". Obviously.

A little more argy bargy ensued, & they eventually agreed to furnish me with a loan car.

So I'll go across there shortly - sorry, "pop across". Taxi fares from here to their average £20, plus I have another night in the Hotel tonight.

That's the way the money goes, pop goes the weasel.
