Who was the fake Ambassador?
Kollakis?
Lol - you got all the others?!
Yup, back of the net. United Nations Ambassador for World Shipping.
He even managed a Press Pass at the WSOP in Vegas accredited to - "UN Poker Attache".
It's semantics I guess, but from what I remember MikkyT wasn't exactly a paedo, child abuser and scumbag, yes, but I wouldn't have called him a paedo.
And "hero to zero"? Is that the same guy as "scammer"? or have I missed out on another scandal?
Good grief Keith, there have been plenty of them! But I'm gonna let you think on that, no easy answers this time. Hurry up though, as you never know, there may be more soon.
Only when one of thee stories involves Tightie, Julian or Karabiner will I be truly shocked.

it may not be what he was convicted for but I'd say the pics that were on his computer plus the stunt he pulled on here put him firmly in the paedo camp

A week ago, I was just getting ready to fly home from Vegas. Where did the week go? 4 weeks ago, I was about to go to Vegas. Same question.
My weather remains long sunny spells, with the odd cloudburst, & even storms. For whatever reason, every storm is blonde-related, though I guess with so many friends/acquaintances here, it sort of figures.

Vegas was spectacularly good by all criteria.
It was almost non-stop work (which suits me fine), & I never spent a penny really (company
per diems
pay for my daily food & drink), but I played 4 or 5 little Tourneys, spending about $700, & netted one 2nd place for $4,763, so that was OK.
I had a few stakes in friends, about $2,300 in all, I think. Only one yielded a return, which returned $510 for $500 I think.
I loaned a bit of cash out - all to AAA-rated friends - maybe $1,800 in total. I mentally "write off" all loans these days, so when they come back in, they are a bonus, or freeroll.
So, money-wise, it went OK, though I've run into a few un-forecasted costs since I got home.
The Hotel was perfect - we always stay at The Rio, & because we work there night & day, it works for me. They are "suites", & I grew up using back-street B & B's, so a Suite in a posh hotel in Vegas is always a treat in my mind.
I developed a chest, due to air-con, which still persists. Air-Con in America is standard - it's blisteringly hot in Vegas in July - so it gets chilly in cardrooms. Back home, I get tilted when I am in Air-Conditioned offices & people open windows, because it's "too hot". Jeez, do they not know how aircon works?
The flight both ways was late - if Carlsberg did Airlines, they'd send Wooly Jumper busto with any luck - but comfy. We travel Premium Economy - another treat - which I've grown to adore. Travelling Economy to the USA would be a bit of a jolt now, I think.
I slept most of the way out, but watched "Damned United" twice, which I rather enjoyed, as I'm a Clough fan.
Coming home, I could not sleep, & though there were 8 or 9 films on offer, none appealed. So I watched "Damned United" 3 more times. It's crap.
On a personal level, I loved every second, & was very sad when it was time to come home, I'd like to have chilled & had some R & R for another week or so. But I'm crap at R & R, so probably best to come home when I did.
I would love to go out just to play, which I've never done. Ideally, a Caesars or Venetian Deepie Fessie, I adore Caesars, not so much Venetian.
I played one of the $200 Daily Deepies at The Rio, & hated everything about it. A dozen or so Tables scrunged up in the corner of a barn the size of 2 football fields, ugh ugh ugh.
I put on a stone in weight - tbh, I expected to, as I was hollow when I flew out after a 4 month no-tolerance diet. So, I'm back up to 12st 6lbs now, which is OK. I'm off the diet, but still eating sensibly now - fruit, lots of it, mountains of it, salads, etc, & NO crap, bar the odd sticky bun.
The food portion sizes in the USA are positively obscene, no wonder they are all waddlies.
Happy 2010 Vegas memories, & I wish I could do it again.

Which ground did they use in Damned United to double as the Baseball ground? And what is special about that ground this year?

Umbrella? I'd need a bloody marquee, the stuff that's tipped down this week. It's extraordinary how many bad things happen around here. Bad things come in threes, & I'd reached the quota by this morning, with 3 days to spare.
I must have sent 100 blonde-related e-Mails of one kind & another this week, plus hours of phone-calls & meetings. God knows how many e-Mails Tighty has handled this week.
By the bye, good to hear fom you this morning.
For various reasons, I've been a bit up against it this week, but it's been balanced by long phone calls with special friends, Tom, & Maria in particular. I saw a lot of Maria in Vegas, & she sort of irritated me a bit, as I'm a loner by nature, but she went home 2 days before me, & I was distraught when she left, it was like losing someone special, & I so wanted her to be back there again. I operate in life with as few friends as possible, in my life friends have always ended up causing me grief, & I barely deserve the few I have, but they mean so much to me.
For someone as mentally insecure as I am, & with good reason, it's odd that I deliberately spurn the chnce of friendships, & shy away from potential relationships. But I enjoy my own company. Just as well, before anyone gets the quip in.

you're looking WAY better with the stone back on and new diet sounds just right imo x

I watched The Damned United on Sunday and liked it - thought that was all tempered when I discovered afterwards that it was nearly all made up.

interested to know how the eating has gone tikay, I'm on a bit of a health kick myself, given up the ciggies and am down to 1 kebab a week, i feel amazing.
I ate back-to-bck crap in Vegas - that's it's main attraction, HUGE portions of crap, & I loved it. I had no mind-blocks about putting weight on, & I did not overly gorge.
I worked 18 hour days, back to back, non-stop, work work work, & so needed the food to be the body fuel it is.
Since coming home, I've reverted to sensible eating, & I'm fine with it - not even tempted by chocolate bars, crisps, sausage rolls, pot noodles, KFC, or any of that nonsense.
I went into Wardrobe for some shows yesterday, & nervously tried on the new "small" waist size trousers, 32" waist, & they are still comfy, loose even, so that was a relief.
I've not packed up the ciggies yet, but it's drawing ominously nearer by the day.
My energy levels remain excellent for my age, though my eyes have gone.
I'm actually not sleeping as well as I was when I was hard-dieting, but that may just be that I've been keeping odd hours this week, & have been uber-stressed over various stuff. I get up at 5 every morning, in the office by 6, go back to the Hotel at about 5pm, have 2 hours kip, then play Online until about Midnight.
I never go to bed at all on Sunday night at all, left G-Luton at about 5am & went straight to work, so that, coupled with possible jet-lag (if such a thing really exists) has maybe messed with my body-clock a bit.
On balance, it's all good, & my health & energy remains robust for my age.
