I quite liked the "what's your next career going to be" question in the ch4 news interview.

Dear Long Suffering shareholder

Ladbrokes Poker has confirmed that they will be moving to Playtech's iPoker network, including their online poker operations, "in due course".

While no timescale has been set for the move, a press release issued this week stated that "in due course Ladbrokes will ... migrate to Playtech’s download casino and poker products."

This will see Ladbrokes Poker depart from the Microgaming Poker Network.

Ladbrokes CEO Richard Glynn said that Ladbrokes "has made significant progress over the past two years by investing in our core technology, revitalising our brand and making our customer offer more competitive."

"The next phase of this reinvigoration will see us work closely with Playtech to increase customer lifetime values."

Bloody hell, what a great question!

Will catch up on replies, to this & everything else, soonest.

Very exciting day today - playing the £500 (effectively £1,000) PLO8 EPT Sidey tonight. My first Live PLO8 Event since the WSOP lat Summer, in fact I don't recall ever playing a PLO8 Tourney in Europe before.

Reasonable clock (30 mins) & starting stack (8,000 I believe, with "bonus" chips for the add-on), so no excuses there.

A few (rather optimistic) friends have asked for a bit of action, so my liability has been reduced by 15%, which makes me a little more comfortable, as I don't want to "play scared", & £1k is a lot of money.

Can't recall being quite so excited about playing a Poker Tourney in yonks. The type of people who play PLO8 are a bit different, very chatty, we get to know each other better as tables don't break so fast in this game.

Doobsy & Flushy are playing, too, I have mixed feelings about sharing a Table with either, but it cuts both ways. I'm rather hoping Jeff Duval is on my Table, I've known Jeff for years, & we had a good long private natter yesterday, & I confess to having a sort of man-love for him. When I'm old enough, I want to be him.

Stood by his PLO Cash Table yesterday for an hour or more (yup, I enjoy watching him THAT much), he just sits there quietly, smiling, never shows negative emotion or gets uppity, & just seems to know exactly where he is in every hand. Proper GIQ bloke. Many Pros would do well to take a leaf out of his book.

Early update for my intrepid triumvirate of investors in the PLO8 who kindly asked for a bit of action.

Passed every hand for 2 orbits.

Exciting, 'innit?

Oh, sorry, there is more, we then scooped the first hand we played, somewhat fortuitously.

Will omit the boring streets, but we bet this all the way.....

Tikay, are you just playing A24x-double suited hands?

Will you extend for the purposes of your audience to an A25x from late position?

Break, after 4 levels.

Proceeding in a backwards direction.

Starting stack was 8,000, ran it up to 12,000 and straight back to 6,500  by the break. Not playing especially well, need to be a bit more disciplined.

Took the add-on, which was 16,000, so we have 22,500, blinds now go 150-300.

54 paid in, 49 remain.

Doobs on adjacent table, he has Albert Sapiano to his left. Doobs has been Sapiano'd 3 times, but is in ok shape now.

What do the comps at that buy in level play like? I imagine lots of chops, so being able to bluff well gives a big edge?

Oh, my table only has one good player. From what I have gleaned, it is not me.

Will reply tomorrow Simon, but no, not a table to bluff on, and bluffing in split pot games needs a little care.
