As far as I can predict at this stage, the schedule is below. It could increase or decrease, more likely to decrease. Note that if I make any Day 2's, that will of course reduce it further if Day 2 clashes with the next comp.

There is a decent PLO/PLO8/O8 MTT on Monday 5th June, but Gill & I head off on the Amtrak West Coast Adventure at 0430 on the Tuesday, so it's probably best if I swerve playing an MTT which might run late on the Monday.

Thursday 8th June   Binions   PLO8   365

Sunday 11th June   Venetian   PLO8   600

Monday 12th June   Aria   PLO   465

Tuesday 13th June   Venetian   Big O   600

Friday 16th June   WSOP   PLO8/O8/BigO   1,500

Saturday 17th June   Binions   PLO   365

Sunday 18th June   Planet Hollywood   PLO/PLO8   600

Monday 19th June   Venetian   PLO   600

Wednesday 21st June   WSOP   PLO   1,500

Thursday 22nd June   Aria   PLO8   465

Friday 23rd June   WSOP   PLO8   1,500

Saturday 24th June   Venetian   PLO8   1,000

Sunday 25th June   Golden Nugget   PLO8   250

Monday 26th June   Golden Nugget   Big O   250

Tuesday 27th June   Golden Nugget   PLO8/O8/BigO   570

Friday 30th June   Binions   PLO   365

Saturday 1st July   Venetian   PLO8   1,100

Monday 3rd July   Binions   O8   475

Wednesday 5th July   Venetian   PLO/PLO8/BigO   1,100

TBA   WSOP   Satellite(s) to WSOP 10,000 PLO8   1,000

Hi mate

Can you pm me your bank details as I've changed banks since last time I paid you or you paid me. I'll pm you mine back too ( in the hope you cash in at least one event ) so you can delete my old one.

Finally got around to checking my schedule against yours and few comments to consider :

There's a PLO bounty at Venetian 600 at 5:05pm ( fly in that day so not sure I'll play)

The plo8 at Venetian on 24th is 1100 not 1000.

There's an option to play 1b of PLO/plo8 planet Hollywood ( if you bust day1a) instead of Venetian PLO on 19th.  ( not sure what I'm planning there, will depend on rake, structure, dealers, my mood to play a mix or straight PLO and obviously how I get on day 1a. If run real bad I might even play both as PH is noon start compared to 5:05pm V )

Also there's a planet Hollywood 300 PLO/plo8 the same day (22nd) as the aria plo8 , both 11am start.  I'll decide which I'll playing an hour before probably Smiley

Hope some of that helps

Cheers

I just tried the $20 in the passport trick upon check in
She returned it saying " sir I'm only allowed tips for service provided "
I got a good room plus $20 rake back

"Oh good.  I LOVE tipping great service."

Then she knows that you know that she knows that you know..

$20 with I.D looks like grease (which it is) whereas the thinly veiled promise of $20 to come side-steps any supervisor heat she may get whilst confident that there will be a tip forthcoming if she manages to source a room to your liking.

It's the first time I've tried it keith . Tikay  - I think said he's never had the neck to do that either,
So I thought I'd give it a go
As to being more generous than a 20 no way hosè
I've never had a bad room experience in 30+ visits to varying standards of hotel - ballys - Excalibur - flamingo recently - Carson tower at the nugget although old was fine too
Now I feel the old comp the customer is not so generous on the strip unless you are a real whale
I'm 22 stone and whaleish !
Lol but pretty nitty with my $ now esp at 1.25 to the £

Good luck in Vegas, do you ever watch movies and such on the plane? You strike me as a 'try and read an entire book instead' kinda guy.

At no point did I say offer more than $20?  I realised it might have been your first go, there really isn't any subterfuge involved - no rolled up trouser leg, no funny handshake.  If the room makes no difference to you, then save the hard earned $20, certainly no problem with that.  But if a MUCH better room for your stay is worth $20 then it really is easy (not saying it will succeed, that depends on a lot of other variables beyond your control) and so you should ask every time.

"Hello, I have a reservation, reference is ... or my last name is....  I love tipping for great service, I wonder what complimentary upgrades are available?"

That's it really.  If you are staying for 3 weeks, it is going to be hard for the clerk to do anything with it.  If you are switching hotels for some reason for 2 nights midweek, then you have a really solid chance.  Make sure you know what rooms are what (10 mins on the hotel website pre trip will show you the room types) and then when the clerk offers you "panoramic room in the East Tower" or "a junior suite in the West tower" you immediately know which one is the one to go for and which one isn't worth it.  Sometimes you get a clerk that isn't interested, some of the time you will get a clerk that tries their best but really can't swing it (due to length of stay, occupancy,  internal heat at the time, etc) and some of the time you will get a much bigger/newer/better room which might just be the best $20 you spend all trip.
