I flop the nuts, bet out and get 2 callers.

It runs out horribly - pairs up on the turn and flushes on the river, and I have to let go to pressure, but not before I dust off 4,800.

Yikes, we lost no less than 30 (THIRTY) players in level 7. (78 left)

The bad news is that means the average goes up to 38,462, way above our 30,000.

With blinds at 400-800, we still have some 37 or 38 bigs, so it's ok, but not great.

Think I am going to need to open up sooner rather than later, this is playing rather faster than I expected or care for.

That takes us to 40,000, smack on average, and, more importantly, 50 Bigs, which is ok for now.

Two limpers and I Button raised to 5,000 with:

 

Geezer in BB who has not got out of line once, and almost certainly sees me as Lord Nit, 3 bets.

He has to have them Aces. If I have double suited I might go to war, but I think I can find a better spot.

He goes "wow" and shows me double suited aces.

OK, the exit jobbie.

There is an open to 3,000, and I make it 10,000 (playing 33,000) with:

 

Fella behind, playing a mountain, flats, and the opener comes along too, so we have 30,000+ in the middle.

We see this flop:

 

To my mind, flops don't come much better for my hand, unless someone has the 6, which is unlikely. I have got the 2 pair draws beaten, and I have nut spades. Oh, and aces.

I pot it, I am all in, and reasonably happy with life.

Fella to my left moves all in, as does the opener. oioi, this is a 90,000 pot.

The opener is nearly dead, he has Broadway cards and (dead) spades.

But the fella to my left has flopped monsta good, here is his straight-tastic beauty:

 

He can't hit a spade though.

So now I need any spade, A or 6.

Boo.

Win that coup and we have 90,000 and I'm in great shape to go all the way. But we lost.

Can't really imagine a better spot, to be honest.

No excuses or complaints, though 0/5 is not ideal.
