Peter?
I'm assuming that's not a safe-breaker - so explain, please?
Close enough. A Peter is a safe, so, getting things in context, what if I said, "I smashed the jewellers window and grabbed a handful of Tom"?
At a guess, I'd think rhyming slang. Tom Foolery = Jewellery.
Yes.
What does "peter" rhyme with or is it not rhyming slang or is it another one like "groin" that nobody knows ?
Peter Pan = Can (The old London gangs called a safe a can)

This would be, I think, about 12 years back. That's Wendy.
Where did I get that Shirt?
I thought that those shirts were only worn by Jimmy White and head-waiters.

6. Thomas Boekhoff Boku87
7. Diego Brunelli vgreen22
8. André Coimbra acoimbra
9. Mathew Didlick chipstar1
10. Ta-Chih Geeng socutiesf
11. Andrew Goetsch Kid Nebraska
12. Martha Gonzalez marene
13. Keiran Harris K_Man2307
14. Steve Jacobs stevesbets
15. Randy Lew nanonoko
16. Karlo Lopez elmagopr

I'm wondering if number 11 on that list is the Andrew Goetsch that used to run the Cryptologic poker room. He plays to a very high standard so it could be.

No idea Phil, though I met Andy a few times, in Vegas I think. Those names mean nothing to me.

I'm guessing that too. What was the expression he used the other day about Will Martin "pretty terrible"?

And with impeccable timing, I just got a PM - my 12,000th since I cleared the inbox 2 years ago.
What time-sponges Forums are. I have had a lot of forum fun, but when I eventually look back for the final summing-up, just before G-R turns up,
I think I'll think that those years might have been better spent.
When you're totting up, remember to include what you gave, as well as what you received.
Yeah that's a nice point. It's natural to focus on the negatives and the rucks when they happen but the last few pages of this diary alone show your time and involvement is worthwhile. I would offer some help in writing your life story but what with the amount of years we're talking about and my writing style I fear it would be a rather long book.

Donald in that list is world class, it took me about 2 months playing him at FLO/8 to realise how good he actually was, i used to follow him around the games i thought he was that bad it wasn't till he was about $30k up on me i started to realise he is probably the best LAG i have ever played. His one downfall was the 9 handed games where he just couldn't help but get too involved so i only played full ring when he was about, not long after the made all the tables 6 max with him always sat so i just gave up, at a guess he probably just wins it all.

For Tikay & others, a curious photograph I came across in a 1940s Magazine.
Anyone guess where this was? Dog name & Job?
Back after the holidays with the answer if needed.
Have a relaxing few days off Tikay.
Happy Holidays all.
