I've almost decided to start taking a daily dose of Aspirin. Not to cure any ailment, but more & more I become convinced that it is really a clever & useful thing.
It's gone in & out of fashion more times than enough - it's good for you, it's bad for you, dum de dum - but on balance, & as with everything, all things in moderation, it might just be the greatest.
There was a great piece about it on the wireless last night - it was first patented by Bayer, of all peeps, back in 1890 something.

I hear that cod liver oil is good for you, too. Will you be taking any of that?
Nothing cod liver oil could do would induce me to take it.
Does it really come from the livers of Cod? Why not from the livers of haddock, or skate, or herrings?
They sell it in little tablets now. I take it in a combined Calcium/Cod liver Oil pill, although I don't know whether the stuff actually works or not.
Is it supposed to have restorative powers?
Nah, just maintain supple bones and joints and that sort of nonsense. My left shoulder joint is pretty much F'ed but this seems to help..though it might just be excersise. Who knows, some scientific studies claim that cod liver oil helps and the calcium thing is supposed to be good as well..... it can't hurt I guess.
Cod liver oil isn't pure cod liver oil in most tablets, someimes there is shellfish in amongst other goodies too so it's worth checking labels for anything you could be allergic to.
One of the latest varients of cod liver oil tablets contain Glucosamine which helps to maintain a healthy heart, circulation & connective tissue (cartlidge & joints).
The Glucosamine variety are more expensive but are supposed to give more benefits. I find them better personally as I don't taste the oil all day after having one and they do help with my creaky knees and less than perfect circulation due to years of nicotine abuse!

I assume that's rhetorical - he's a complete tosser, obv. (imo, of course). I can well imagine he speaks highly of me, too. So peculiar that now his head has got all messed up by, I can only assume, drug abuse, he's suddenly become the degen's hero. I don't understand how things work any more, if I had a mouthful of gumboils, I'd not give him one. Would I be right in assuming you think he's utterly wonderful? PS - remind me to relate the Vinni-pleno-Luton tale. I got Vinni'd all ends up.
If Mr Sheen ever crossed my orbit, I'd set Malcolm Tucker onto him. He would burst into tears within 15 seconds, & his spine would turn to jelly. Tosser.

Now, I must attend to some, err, stuff. Jeez, been some week, but I've grasped every nettle in my path, & there have been plenty, & for that alone, I am quite pleased. I doubt I've ever achieved so much in a single week, my energy levels have been monsta. Several of the nettles stung, though.
BIG meeting later this afternoon, too. I really really need that one to go my way. It's in the balance, 50/50, maybe even 50/60. I so want that one to fall my way.
Diary hour awaits later, if I can get my e-Mails & PM's cleared in time, then it's SPT Luton all weekend. I took Monday off this week, to gather breath, & it seemed to work pretty well, so I'll try & keep the energy levels high all weekend, then maybe take Monday off, or part of it. I just have to pace myself better.

I'm very pleased to hear that.
The Vinni tale was the greatest, but yes, maybe best left alone.

Oh, the old "tell him we were talking about him then tell him its probably best we dont mention it (why mention it in first place) so that he bites after he's just been told we're laughing at him on the mod board and after I've gave him false promises about replying to emails when telling him sorry I'm not interested would have been alot easier chestnut.
Nice.

Nah, was super into football when I was younger and when I got older (17-20) I just drank alot. My friends at uni were kind of mix between poker geeks and footballers and somehow both groups just never really got into it. MY flatmate smokes weed but just really doesn't interest me. Although some may disagree I can have a good time/relax without needing to take anything. Although when I go out I find it reallllllly hard to get into it if I havn't drank.

thoughts on this guy Mr Kendall?

Tosser.

I find him absolute comedy but I don't aspire to be anything like him (never touched drugs)
Please do tell the "vinni-pleno-luton" tale, I'm rather nervous.
Never even weed?
Nah, was super into football when I was younger and when I got older (17-20) I just drank alot. My friends at uni were kind of mix between poker geeks and footballers and somehow both groups just never really got into it. MY flatmate smokes weed but just really doesn't interest me. Although some may disagree I can have a good time/relax without needing to take anything. Although when I go out I find it reallllllly hard to get into it if I havn't drank.
there's time
