They have a Deli here, a branch of a very famous (apparently) New York eatery, called "Carnegies".

The portions are MASSIVE. A regular meat sandwich contains ONE POUND of meat.......I purchased a "New York Cheesecake", it weighs 1lb, & would easily feed a family of 4. Very nice it was, too.

I get an "Omelette sandwich" there every day - it's my only meal of the day, every day. 2 regular slices of bread, with a THREE egg omelette somehow squeezed inside it. Too thick to get even in my mouth.

Quite a history Carnegies has, too......

I'm kinda confused. Why have you capitalised THREE? That's the normal size of omelette in this country, hardly a big portion. That and 2 slices of bread is nowhere near enough for a whole day's eating. Did you mean THIRTEEN?

First time I went to vegas one meal a day was pretty standard too. Two once the stomach has adjusted a bit.

Definitely couldn't eat 3 with US portions

Honestly, Andrew, it's almost obscene, the size of the portions out here. And so many obese people, never seen so many in my life. It seems to be accepted as normal here though. Think I'd be as fat as a pig if I lived here. Carnegies motto is, I gather, "if you can eat it all, we are doing something wrong". I'll post a pic of a 3 egg omelette sarny later, it's truly comical to see, & try to get the mouth round. 1 of those per day is all I eat, or need. I got a portion of chips/fries the other day, it filled a carrier bag. Inside the bag were eight Tomato Ketchup sachets, too.

I don't think I've ever sen so many people in Vegas as this week - the place is abso heaving.

LOTS of weddings this week, too, over 4,000, something to do with the American's fixation with dates, & there was a huge fuss here on Thursday or Friday, when even annotated back to front, 11/11/11 occurred. BIG thing that, apparently......

Tony you love beef and almost all of the hotels have at least one restaurant where there's a "prime rib special" at reasonable rates daily which I'm sure you would get a great deal more pleasure and nourishment from than an egg sarnie.

It pains me slightly that you have such scant regard for nice food (and wine). I feel that you're missing out.

Mind you you probably feel the same about my disdain for concrete.

Vey special good luck to G2L today, too.

Quick geek question.

I have been using the "note" facilty on my i-Pad to remind me of stuff, little "character stories" from the Tables, just this & that.

Is there any way to cut & paste that onto another medium, e-mil, word, whatever?

I must confess, I don't actually know how to C & P on an i-Pad......
