Hi TK
Id love a small stake please 1 or 2% as you wish.
Cheers
Wonderful news, thank you.
I'll stick you down for 1% for now, & then, if there is any spare, we can maybe up it to 2% later if that's OK with you.
I'll edit the Stakers list to include you shortly.

As tikay said above, I'll be administering the staking adventures as per last year.
I'll be using the same system as last year. If you wish to reminisce it is here:
http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=25486.msg1941032#msg1941032
In essence, since the precise value of the package won't be known until the end of the trip (due to tikay being such a creature of whim) it is not possible to pay for a precise percentage in advance so I have decided on a notional value that we can use.
I'm going to use an exchange rate of 1.51 dollars to the pound; it was 1.68 last year - ooooooh.
For those of you that have nominally staked 1%, I'm going to say that equates to
£85
.
However, you can contribute any (broadly similar) sterling amount that you like and I will convert it into the appropriate percentage of the final package.
I will ensure that tikay takes no liberties and that the final package is (at least) roughly as described above.
As tikay is only going to be selling around 50% of his "action" it leaves room to manoeuvre so this won't cause a problem, i.e. it won't be possible for tikay to sell 110% of his action and then (deliberately) lose every tournament he enters.
I hope that is all clear.
If not, please post on here or PM me for clarification.
The spreadsheet is here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lo83qbNr29QM07dTb4QjWRwomRnHDIzf2qUW5aGS6DI/edit?usp=sharing
That's all for now folks.
Thanks Mr Grumpy, much appreciated.
Mere has also taken 1%, so I'll edit my list.
If anyone is unhappy with the exchange rate, chat to Vince if you wish, & of course, if it displeases, nobody is obliged or committed at this stage.
Must emphasise though, Vince will be the Referee in all matters, & I'll accept any ruling he makes.

Are you doing a road trip tikay?
Something like that......more boats, trains & planes.
I'll post the details later today, or in the morning.
In some ways, a dream trip, real bucket list stuff, I can't begin to tell you how much it will mean to me. There's a bit of a backstory, but that's for another day.
I'm almost wetting myself with excitement.

Not a road trip, though may manage one of those during that week, too.
This one will be planes, trains, boats & automobiles. Proper trip of a lifetime.
McCarron to Los Angeles, via Southwest Airlines, the cost of the flight is $99. (Southwest was the pioneer of the immensely successful Ryanair).
Then, "FlyAway" transit bus from LA Airport to Union Station.
Then, jump on this absolute beaut, the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, bound for San Diego. (Business Class fare $65).

Stay here overnight, right on the beach. ($140).
Take a stroll along Oceanside Pier.......

....then take dinner or breakfast, or both, in Ruby's Diner, which is a 50's style USA Diner.

Hop back on the Pacific Surfliner, down to San Diego......

Catch the Coronado Ferry here....
Then jump the Southwest Flight to Vegas from San Diego Airport (cost $88).

Will doo.
PS - thank you. Knew I'd get you eventually.
Stakers List amended.
We are now at 45%, assuming Matt the Hoople only takes 1%, or 49% if he takes 5%. I don't have a set figure in mind, but 50% ish feels about right, so I'll leave it open for another few days, then close the list.

Actually, make it 5%, let's try and win something worthwhile. Feels like a low-risk spot, as you're never bricking everything...

Thanks Mr W, will Edit the Stakers list.
Think that takes us to 48%, so will leave it a few days for lastminute.com & then close it.
TYVM.
We made a good profit every year, I think, bar last year, when I knocked it in badly.
Has the old man lost it?
We shall see.

Vince has tidied up the list now, & inserted correct aliases on the Spready.
Lisa/sonour had been duplicated in error, my mistake, now rectified.
Total sold is now 45%.
Mere Novice has paid, & the stakers list edited to reflect this.
