There's a PLO8 at the Nugget Tuesday too at 11am. If you run badly you could play two in the same day!

Might see you at Venetian,  I was planning a casino crawl up and down the strip playing cash sessions in as many card rooms as I can, but have had a flare up with my heel problems so might just find a decent game and sit in that

Lol, I hate to sound like a hypochondriac, (I'll have neuralgia next) but is your heel problem anything to do with plantar fasciitis Simon?

Yes Tom . I had a major attack two days before flying out, was in hospital as it felt like i had broken a bone.  I was happy it was just plantar not a fracture. Ice packs and massage helps but i had been ok here until Friday,  probably sitting in a poker tourny for  longer than usual Wink

I started to develop mild symptoms of plantar fasciitis about 3 years ago Simon. My Doctor said it would go away within a few months but it has slowly got worse. I'm now at the point where it hurts all the time when I walk and I can't manage more than a few hundred yards before I'm in extreme discomfort. It seems to seize up over night and when I get out of bed I can't put any weight on it at all. As you know I'm a very out doorsy person and this has put a severe crimp in my life.

I've had a cortisone injection and that worked great for a couple of weeks, and then it wore off over night leaving me worse than ever. I've been to a physiotherapist and a podiatrist, I've had inserts in my shoes and I've done all the stretching and massaging. nothing seems to work.

Any advice you could give me would be most welcome.

What happened to that pain you suffered in your backside a few years back, Tom?

Refrained from leaving you an easy tap in by asking about what happened to that pain in the arse?

I still have that, it's called piriformis syndrome which is basically the sciatic nerve being squeezed by the butt muscle.

It's about 60% better than it was and very manageable.

er this may be too basic advice, i've had it but obv nowhere near as bad as you. If i got it again i would be

rolling my feet on a bottle of ice, maybe 10 mins a foot 3 times a day
doing hundreds of step calf raises a day
doing tons of stretching not just calves, hamstrings, quads, hips, back, shoulders everything
popping at least 6 omega 3 caps a day
foam rolling everything
be walking around without shoes as much as poss
be doing the foot drills everyday

sorry if i'm teaching you how to suck eggs

Brief interruption to these medical bulletins.

Drew Seat 6 - feels like a win already.

Level One complete, had two nice little scoops, 21,700 from 15,000.

There are some breathtakingly over inflated egos in poker.

Three levels complete, first break.

Played one hand that level, and scooped a 3,000 pot.

After the fair winds of level one, have been comfortably becalmed, but no rush, I ain't got no train to catch.

23,000.

Went outside in the break for some chill time.

Geezer spots me. "Did you hear what happened to me yesterday?"

Groan. We know what's coming.

What I did not expect was the prelude. Talked me through 5 hands, every street, every action. Finished with " and guess what he called me with?".

Jeez.

I'm giving all the body language clues, but I may as well have not bothered, he ploughed on regardless.

Pretty sure the world of online is eroding the understanding of body language.
