Spotted these two beauties wandering around the hotel this morning, sort of chattering away to themselves, as ducks tend to.
Anyone know the exact species?
Definitely Aylesbury
One male and One female
Without googling how can we tell which is which?

The one at the back is male. Male mallards seem to have the horn much of the time and spend most of their lives following lady mallards around. A female quack means "no, fuck off", obviously.

Isn't it frustrating that you can't quote Tony's pics? Spoils the whole diary really.

This would be so exciting, I think I'd wet myself.

Blimey George, that is exactly it.
Now I gotta send that to Gill - she'll love it. 1.1 we end up in that, or similar.
Meanwhile, a quick question for you, Geo.
Loch Awe is a beautiful part of the world (was going to say awesome). Also as the clincher Tony, there's tours of Cruachan Hydro Power Station available, they hollowed out Ben Cruachan to build it & the tour goes right inside.

George,
Do you recognize this couple? They are both on the Punta Cana trip, but they hail from Edinburgh, & both play a lot at the local venues, including Maybury.
Their names are George & Lesley Devine.

Yes Tony,
A lovely couple who play the game in a great spirit, mostly play the Maybury and we've played together over the years although they probably wouldn't know me from Adam as I haven't played too much live in Scotland for a wee while.
Popping off to DTD tomorrow for the weekend to kickstart my live playing

Put a date and value on this enamel sign.
Date would be, at a guess, 10 years either side of 1890.
Got no idea how much the sign is worth.
