Thought you had beetroot and tinned pineapple on roast dinners?

Shush you, dinner photos follow, after we have watched HIGNFY.

Emerging from the upstairs bathroom, I get asked "What do you think then?"

"Think of what?"

"The nice new stuff in the bathroom?"

So I scuttle back in to check.

Lovely dear, Thanksgiving towels & scented loo roll. Amazing what bargains you can buy on Black Friday.

The pine cones are real, Gill picked them up in Mt Charlston Nevada, last year.

The Arizona Sweet Tea is real, too, from Aldi in Stoke on Trent.

We have scented toilet roll. Well, it ends up scented. Does that count?

Those cutlery muffs are what posh people have so I doubt any of you will recognize them. Gill collected the pine & hollies this morning from round the corner.

The soup is chowder I think, because we have that in Vegas.

The pack of Oyster crackers came from Oceanside, Southern California, Gill nicked them from the fish & chippery we dined at when we were there last year.

I collected two leaves this morning, then wrote on them with real silver, "Gill" & "Tony". Took me hours. Or Gill may have done them.

Mmm, mince pies from Sainsburys, Napkins from Las Vegas & holly berries from next door's garden.

The Xmas crockery was pressed into service. We have a matching duvet cover. I kid you not.

The orange thing came from the USA via an Online shopping site, "Beds Baths & Bollox" or somesuch. The dish (tureen?) cost $5, the postage £23.

Gill is a northerner, so does not realise that food should not be mixed up, as per the first photo, so I spent some time separating everything before eating commenced.

Delish, have to say, utter delish.

Here's the Pecan Pie dish. It's aimed at the American market, so includes instructions on how to make Pecan Pie.
