A passenger took this pic of a shredded engine on Frontier flight 260 from Vegas to Tampa.  The plane was able to turn around and land. She says all passengers got a free breakfast voucher.

I think a laundry voucher would be more useful

2018.

Stunning photo, but I have to raise you.

According to Twitter, this was on the Seine today. (If not photoshopped).

Apropos nothing in particular, our house is for sale and we had a viewer round yesterday. One of his first questions was "do you know what the shape of the plot is?"

Now I like to be prepared - ask me the broadband speed or council tax band and I'm golden. But the shape of the plot?? "Err, so before I answer, why would it matter?"

He then explained a (Hindu?) superstition - if the plot is \/ shaped I.e. narrower at the front than the back then it is cow-shaped - small head, wide body - and therefore serene, revered etc. If it's /\ shaped then it resembles a lion - big head, small body - and will be angry, vicious etc.

Said if it was lion shaped he wouldn't buy it at any price. Stated that the big house up the road was a lion plot and that's why previous owners have gone bankrupt and earlier ones commited suicide.

Every day's a school day.

just saying

It made the statement after an article in Rolling Stone alleged that Taylor Swift fans were scanned at a pop concert in an effort to spot stalkers.

Morning Alll,

I've been away for a few days, and came back expecting insightful banter about drones and the authorities; Bonkers Brexit chatter and maybe the
ocassional Festive iirony; but no, nothing.

Have I missed a memo, have we gone mute for Xmas?

Well I for one will be raising a glass (or four) to you all, and especially Tony for adding colour, humour, sarcasm in equal measures to my mundane existance.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Merry Xmas Tony.

I apologise for the delay in following up the initial engineering video but I'm still working on the Forth Bridge (my pet name for the house) however I thought I'd get into the spirit of Xmas and find something suitable for you to drool over during the holidays. So without further ado, here is an interesting video on one of your favourite subjects, concrete. Enjoy X

Excuse the rapid posts but I found something close to my heart! I always wanted to go on Concorde but like many I never got the chance, one of my ex bosses worked on the computer systems before he left to work in another industry.  I still have pictures and the memory of my storage jars rattling when she took off, anyway here is a documentary on the old gal that I missed.
