If you stand in the Long-Term Car-Park at Gatwick, the inbound 'flights pass, it seems, within touching distance above your head, it's an awesome sight & sound, & I almost get leakage.
I took this 'photo at 7am on Sunday, it's an inbound China Air 747. (I need to work harder on getting the object in the viewfinder I think, in case you are struggling to see all of the 'plane).

How about man's laughter and manslaughter ?
Very good! Disqualified, though.
Andrew, give him a reason.

It's not right, which is reason enough.

I suspected the stupid one might be Noel, because......
Noel Gallagher is.
Gatso suggested it.

Also on "my" 'plane were Zippy Aslam & his Baby Bro, who looks about 13. Has good game, though. Ash Hussein arrives today. All capable of decent results in the Biggie, given that 'lil bit of luck needed.

Also on the 'plane were Eric Bristow & a bunch of Darters, coming To Vegas with a Film Crew from Sky Sports for something or other, I know not what.
Eric must watch the
Sky
Poker
Show, as he complained, tongue-in-cheek I think, that we never invited him on, "but you invited that Manley fella". Whooshed me. "OK, you are invited on" I said". "How much?" said he. Not daft, Eric. He looks great, lost a bunch of weight, & seems to be enjoying life. Proper Legend.
Barry Hearn was there, to, & he was on to me like a ton of bricks. I did a Show with Son Eddie a while back, (Dingdell too) it was debating "women in poker", & Eddie & I had a bit of a gentle barney on air. Barry said "you got lucky, Eddie let you off the hook, I'd have ripped you to pieces". Ooh-er. He's not wrong, either. Barry has aged well, looking quite old now, very grey, but still has that terrific presence & personna. And he scares me shitless. Eddie is in New York, & arrives here on Wednesday, & I hope we hook up, I enjoy Eddie's company immensely, whereas I feel uncomfortble in Barry's company, he's so "commanding" & dominant. Well clever bloke, you gotta give him that. Sleeping weasels beware.

Bloody hell, what a question!
1) Do you know how old I am?
2) I'm not sure how much longer I will be in poker. I think when Sky say "enough", that'll maybe be it. We have to be realistic, who wants old people on telly? I mean, really? Old people are a pain - we often see them as such - & I don't want to outstay my welcome. And they smell of wee. And moan a lot.
3) I have things to do in life apart from poker. I'm becoming obsessed with bird-watching. And depressed by some of the dreadful people in poker. (Though there are some equally splendid ones, too, but those arseholes make so much noise). And I want to do my Scotland Tour, & other stuff. I do love Live Poker, especially with mates, & I'm so enjoying my career "finale" with
Sky
Poker
, where I got seriously lucky, & should not look the gift horse in the mouth.
4) I still have some "jobs" to finish in poker, though, APAT for instance, & some other stuff which is very important to me.
5) I'm sort of Love-Hate with Vegas. I've only ever come here to work, always paid for (yup, got lucky again) never just to play. Hence my yearning for a "responsibility & work-free" Vegas trip.
Over & above everything else, I just feel very vulnerable to Mr Reaper, my Dad's Family were all taken young. I dunno really, I think I'm just being realistic. Taking next year & the year after for granted is tempting fate, it just is.
It was nothing sinister, just the way I feel.

Ahh, thank you. I did see some other Darts-blokes on the flight, but I could not name them.

I'm staying at The Rio, & I could not sleep last night, so I was writing a lot of the night.
I went down to try & get a proper coffee at about 2am, & bumped into
Joe
Grech
, sat by (but not playing) the slots.
He was telling me he's down about (a lot) on the trip, been here a month or more, & may not play the Main Event He has $5,000 left, & is struggling to get cash - he has plenty in the bank, but not easy to access it from here. I almost lent him some - he's as good as gold, & has helped me many times, without being prompted, but I'm travelling light, & only have a few thou with me, so I thought better (i.e., selfishly) of it.
Knowing him, he'll win a Super-Sat, & cruise to a good cash - I sure hope so. He's a very good player in my view.
He was telling me that the Venetian Deep-Stacks are a bit "sharp" at the business end. He played in one with 600 runners, & with 60 players left, & average 100,000, the Blinds were 4k-8k. Maybe that was the "inflection point", I dunno, but I heard they were well-structured. I'll have to ask Mother Hen - nobody understands Structures as well as he does. No, really!

Dave's game has been much discussed. He was always known as a "Calling-Station", & he still has calling tendancies, you can't get him off pots. But he's not
Albert
Sapiano
, & his record recently suggests he's better than many think.
He's playing the Main Event, & you never know with Dave, he might surprise a few out here.
Post tilted me!

Delighted - it did exactly what it said on the tin. It was just for you.
