apropos nothing

I find this photograph fascinating. Taken in 1905 in Puget Sound in the States, these fishermen had tales to tell but all that remains is this!

I love them too.

Note how everyone in those days wore a titfer.

And one guy has a Cat in his arms!

Not big into smiling in those days, it seems. But if TheDJ, 0r Jaydeaa, tried to mess with those guys, I think he'd get a bit of a shock.

Cameras then were still an unknown! People did not know how to react, it was a big deal to have your photograph taken.

Look at the fella on the wheel...his look tells you he's the Guvnor.

That big Shropshire house fire is a story that will run & run, & there will be shocks galore when it all comes out on top. It's by no means certain that the bodies of the father, mother & daughter will be found.

The guy was a bit "wide", his house had been repossessed & was owned by Liquidators, & he appears to have been something of an unsavoury character, moving in "dark" circles. His own company went bankrupt recently, & he'd made a good few enemies along the way.

The charred remains of 4 dogs & 3 horses were found, but it's thought they were shot before the fire was started.

This is the remains of the stable block, & the black "blobs" near the white-coated men are the remains of horses.

He's trying to get the cat inside his coat so he can sell it down the pub later.
