Right, that's me done for now, I shall remove my exceedingly battered blonde cap & don my shiny
Sky
Poker
Hat, (with In-Poker hat stored in suitcase) & head off to Edinburgh for the weekend.
It's really quite odd, how my life divides into compartments, & how I move from one to the other. It's all fun.
It's prob fair to say that if I had not fallen lucky with Sky - & I did, big time - things would have been so different.
Fate, like luck, is the most marvellous thing.
A better day to day, all round - so far. Now, East Midlands Airport - my fave airport - awaits. May even get to chat to the other Passenger there.
Have a great weekend.

Sorry if this is maladroit:
When you've just had the black hat on a bit of 'hey fiddle dee dee, isn't life grand' is a bit self indulgent. Life goes on for sure but it takes a little time sometimes.
Reminds me of an office sketch

It's a Personal Diary, & those were my exact thoughts & mindset.
I respond to problems in that very way - push on, look for the sunshine, "do" rather than sulk or talk.
I care more about blonde & it's Community than you will ever know, but as I stated, my life is divided into compartments, & I need to do it that way, because I can't & won't take my problems from one room to another.
I'm not planning to go about life sullen & sulking, dog-in-manger style, just because we are going through a few problems. I do worry about it, a lot, & I am on the case (had a stonking day today), working my nuts off for blonde.
But, ultimately, it's just a poker site, & I have far bigger worries outside of poker right now, with personal health issues affecting some of those I care a lot about.
I'll be working hard for Sky on Saturday, all smiles, & on Sunday, I'll be back wearing my blonde cap, & helping to sort things.
I may well remind you of an "Office" sketch, but I don't believe it's self-indulgent at all. It's how I handle problems. How do you handle problems, if I may ask?
We (blonde) have, by the way, had a most productive day today, with much progress made. Which I was fully aware of when I Posted.
Enjoy your weekend. I will!

Generally with direct action. eg, I heard blonde was struggling, this affects me potentially since I get a lot of free entertainment from the site, so I deposited a couple of hundred on the blonde poker site yesterday despite being an online donk

Before I try & catch up, one more "bear up, fella" message.
Lazaroonie's brother, who, as some of you know, is in a wheelchair, had major surgery yesterday, to, basically, improve his quality of life. He'll not be able to do any crazy stuff, like walking, but hopefully, life will be better for him soon.
He's actually a lucky guy, in one way at least, because Big Laz is the bizz.
I hope the Op went well, & look forward to seeing him soon.
I'm hopeful Laz will be at Walsall tomorrow, for the APAT Event. Special guy, Laz.

Sunshine & Showers, continued......
So, I went to Edinburgh last weekend with
Sky
Poker
& a smile, a relief to get away from blonde for a day or two.
After spending 2 hours at East Mids on the 'phone, sorting out blonde stuff, the flight was bliss, & I slept all the way.
An imprompto Staff Tourney in the Hotel Lounge on Friday evening saw Compo at his outrageous best. That's out, first hand.
On Saturday, The Tourney went well, & we recorded another "In-Poker" up there. We went up to the Castle at 10am to film, then I mixed Tourney schmoozing & In-Poker Filming from Noon until about 3am Sunday. All done, & we meandered back to the hotel for a nightcap before bed. Compo played the Tourney, & exited 2nd hand. He had A-J on an A-high flop, & tried to talk the other geezer off his hand. "You don't wanna exit this early buddy" says Compo. "I know" says the guy, "but I have to call, I have pocket Aces, so top set".......
I met a guy from Elgin in the Tourney. "Do you know Ironside" I asked, recognizing Elgin, home of Baxters Jam Factory as Ironside's abode, or nearly so. "Yeah, I know Ironside" said he. "What, the loud one"? "Yup, that's him". Legend.
The Internet Commection in the Ediunburgh Marriott was costing......£15 per hour. Never used it much.......
Sunday morning we all headed for Edinburgh Airport, & I, for one, never foresaw the storm about to break.

At the Airport, I started to feel unwell. This got worse, but I'll spare you the details.
By th tme we landed at East Mids, I was in a bad way, & could not even face, let alone manage, the 20 minute drive home, so I booked into an Airport Hotel, & climbed into bed, where I stayed for 2 whole days, except to pop across to meet Rob & Nick at
DT
D
on blonde business at 9pm on Sunday evening.
I don't do unwell, & managed a lifetime at work without a single days sick leave, so two days laid up in bed is something of a novelty for me. Strangely, I became unwell the previous time I visited Edinburgh, too.
The worst of it cleared by Wednesday, I was back at work. It's great medicine, work.
I'm not right yet - will I ever be "right"? - but it'll sort itself out.
There were some weird side-effects. I did not smoke for 3 days, nor desire my other addiction - latte coffee. The desire for either has yet to return.
There was also a scary side-effect which suggested some kind of toxic poisoning going on inside me. Not nice.

I turned the 'phone on when I got to East Mids, after the flight, & it went beep-beep mad, 7 messages had landed in less than 90 minutes. WTF?
It was, of course, people wising me up about Denis's "blonde Shares for Sale" thread.
Great timing, this I did not need right then. We're juggling with the creative accountants at Trillion, trying to sort some heavy issues with Aqua & i-Poker (a shaft of bright light may just have appeared there.....), Snoops & Flops, the Live Updates, this that & the other, & now Shareholder stuff to grapple with.
It was Wednesday before I was able to open my e-Mails, & of course, the thread was merely the tip of the iceberg, there's all sorts of stuff "behind it". Marvellous.
But this is the problem I have with blonde - the community "feel" is just massive, & so many folks have PM'd, e-Mailed, or rung me with offers to help, suggestions ideas, etc.
So in one sense it's (blonde) a non-stop bloody headache, & in another, it's a thing of the greatest beauty, where I have discovered so many friends, proper peeps, with great morality.
If ever we could get all the Shareholders - me included, it has to be said - facing the same way, it'd be heaven. In fact, it's probably only me facing the wrong way.
We shall see.

The meet with Rob & Nick at
DT
D
went very well, though to be honest, I never contributed much, I felt so bad.
They'd rather solve the root of the problem than stick a plaster over it, but, well, we eventually agreed that they would fund the
DT
D
Live Updates for the near term. Thank you them, they've been such loyal suporters of blonde & myself, as we have to them. Karma is lovely.
We will take another look in a few months. Fingers crossed, if enough folks support the Update, & play the "Read & Reap"
DT
D
Online Comp which will accompany the Live Update, you never know.
They know the score well enough, & have paid for the entire Update this weekend, & will repeat that a few times before reviewing it.
The thing is, this. If they could recoup even half of the cost, via new Sign-Ups to
DT
D
, & folks playing the "Read & Reap", then that's all Bonus, & they may fund it further down the line. Maybe......
The plan - if we can make the numbers dance a little, & get some regular sign ups - is to try & get right through the year, Updating all the
DT
D
Events. The £300 Deepstacks, & the three
DT
D
"BIG ONES" equate to 39 days Updating in 2009, & we agreed what those 39 days would cost.
It's do-able, Rob & Nick want us there, but it DOES depend on some balancing off by getting more
DT
D
sign-ups. We should not expect otherwise. So, if you wanna help blonde Update the
DT
D
Events, then.....
1) Support the Update please. Loudly.
2) Sign up to
DT
D
using the banner on blonde. If you alread signed up via blonde, don't worry,
DT
D
will "date-stamp" any action so it can be tracked.
3) Play the "Read & Reap" Onlne Comp if you can, please.
I'm hugely indebted to Rob & Nick.
It would have been just perfect to get Flops & snoops to do the Update, & they got first dibs. But snoops is playing APAT Walsall, "ty but no ty", so it was not do-able, but Flops accepted with good grace & enthusiasm, & with Jen in the Co-Pilot's Chair, it'll be a corker, I know it will. I hope snoops is available next month.
