Everyone seems to just argue with the QuizMaster. What's that all about?

I wouldn't have thought so.
I'd say the implication is very much that you're going to object.

in which case Kin must know that it's not a definite fail imo.

Them mx30 dx flat pedals are quite a classic. Been about for around 10years, pretty much unchanged over that time and used for all sorts from bmx racing to downhill mtb.
Seems a strange bike to have £50+ pedals on though
Geek bit over with for now
mx30 dx? Every bike should have them. Shimano's sealed cartridge spindle ftw.
You been speaking to your friend mr google lately tony ?
I havent really got past the stage in my life where i stop playing with bicycles.
Knowing how much people go into details of interest in planes and trains on here bicycles seemed like a progression on a similar theme. Dont know much about the other two.
As if!
Look, this Thread is the official blonde all-things-Transporty thread. The more the merrier.
As a kid, I was the first boy in my street to have a bike with 5 speed campag gears. State-of-the-art, they were.

By the way, they are restoring a Spitfire at Duxford.
we still on for Thursday ?
So far, yes, but it looks like there will only be you & me if we go this week, as everybody else I PM'd has avoided replying, fml.
So this week, or next week, yes, I am deffo going, & anyone who wants to come along would be very welcome.
I'd still be interested... despite the lack of PM

Dont know much about campag, Dont know much about racing bicycles which they pretty much specialise in component wise
I can only assume that the one in the abulance bike pictures has 27, Road bikes are upto 20 or 30 now, 10 on the rear.
Silly stuff

Won a WPT, & netted runner-up gongs in a WSOP Bracelet Event, & a WPT, & won a tidy comp in Europe while in his playing poker & travelling phase, & won over $2,000,000 in a short but controversial career, which included being barred from the WSOP by Harrahs. Recently, he said......
I set out to write a response.......... and quickly realized that I might as well be trying to write a novel in swahili. I cannot express how distant, foreign and irrelevant poker now seems to me.
And......
I've just spent way more than enough of my life playing cards
So he's lost forever to poker, but his blog remains just about the best on the net.
After poker, he did "pro-scrabble" for a while, & he dotes on daughter Ivey like you cannot believe, giving us chapter & verse on the young prodigy's every word. She's some bright kid, too.
He made a bomb selling his software Company 10 years back, but has made 10 times as much by shrewdly investing in shares of Mr Job's Apple empire.
If you want to Post on his Blog, go ahead, but I warn you.....
1) Do NOT Post-Off Topic. The ultimate sin in his eyes.
2) He does not suffer fools gladly, & you'll be flamed to death by him if he deems you a fool.
Try & take a look at Paul Phillips Extempore Journal now & then. Breath of fresh air. Thinking outside the box, just as he did at poker. No man ever described poker hand-play, or meta-game, better than Paul, but now he's moved on, his words are still worth their weight in gold.
If only every Blog was even half as good.
http://extempore.livejournal.com/
PS - His commentry on the televised Barcelona WHUPC is still the greatest piece of poker commentary ever ever. Ever.

27 or 30 gears? On a bicycle? Thats just silly.
I think - not sure - "campag" (as in campag gears) was short for "Campagnolia" or somesuch. Italian, I would imagine.

Well, Sky Poker will be there, with a bunch of players, for sure.
But, so far as I'm aware, the Support Team has not been selected yet.
I do my job as well as I can, shine my shoes every day, & smile at the Boss in a pervy way, that's all I can do really.
We shall see soon enough.
Hope all is well with you & yours, Jim.

American Mums & Dads must have some sense of humour.
The Times reports that this year's Masters had a rich variety of Christian names that included.....
Hunter
Boo
Bubba (love that, bet Thewy calls his next one that)
Brandt
Chez
Briny
Chad
Tiger
Meanwhile, the THM Database lists no less than 83 American poker players with the surname "Pham", & about half that number of "Phan's".
OK, I need to get out more.
