Paul and Marcus are getting into a couple of tussles, while Richard is lying low at the moment.

First Paul raises to 64k from the small blind, Marcus calls.

The flop is Two Clubs , Paul bets 50k, but Marcus makes it an even 200k. Paul instantly folds. Marcus shows .

Next time, Paul makes it 72k from the small blind and Marcus calls.

Flop:

Paul bets 80k, Marcus makes it 160k. Paul calls.

Turn:

Now Paul says, "All-in" but can only bet the pot, he's commited either way and Marcus folds two hearts. Paul shows and takes the chip lead.

Tikay describes Ashfag Ahmed as a `cool guy', I am afraid I may have to beg to differ.
I thing I better clear something up from yesteday.
Ashfag knocked me out when we were down to about 28 players and the pot would have been more or less for the chip lead.
I had no problems with Ashfag prior to this incident.
In a raised pot I held ak and bet the akq flop. Ashfag raised the pot and I pushed all in.
It was now only about 17k for Ashfag to call into about a 180k pot. At this point he has to call the tiny extra with just about any 2 cards.
Ashfag started to dwell, stood up and started muttering about getting involved in another big pot.
He then reluctantly chucked the extra chips in.
At this point I am 99.9% certain I am winning.
I turn over my ak immediately.
Ashfag then dwells again and says either `yes, you've got it' or `yes, I knew it'.
Now I am 100% I have the best hand.
He eventually turns his cards over, TWO QUEENS for a flopped SET!!!!
Ash Hussien who was on the table said `Wwwwaaaatttt' and Gary Chatterton said `that is f*&%$ disgrace'
and called for an ace or king.
I have been slowrolled by a few scumbag yanks in the states but this one took the biscuit.
I see he has just chopped up the comp for £35k.
Made up for him, another win for the nice guys.

Slowrollers should lose the pot they are in.

Or taken into the car park and shot in the knees.

HOLD ON GUYS    I KNOW ASH LONG LONG TIME  AND  I  WILL NEVER AGREE THAT HE SLOW ROLLED ANY1   I M SURE HE DIDNT REALISE IT WAS NOT THAT MUCH TO CALL OR IN FACT HE PROBABLY TOUGHT  HE WAS WELL BEATEN AS KKK OR AAA THERE   HE S A VERY CAREFULL PLAYER   THANKS  AND HE S NOT I REPEAT HE S NOT A SCUMBAG VERY WELL BEHAVED GENT   THANKS

Marcus makes it 72k from the small blind. Richard calls but folds to Marcus' 144k bet on the two hearts board.

Richard gives Paul a walk, showing 4-2o in the process.

Next hand Richard raises to 84k from the button, Paul makes it 276k and Marcus gets out of the way. Richard calls for his last 70k or so.

Richard:

Paul:

Board:

Two Diamonds three diamonds

Richard Simmonds is OUT in 3rd place officially winning £30,000

The remaining 4 players have done another deal.

Marcus is taking £50k, Richard Simmonds gets £40k, Paul Rogers and Ash Ahmed both get £35k and the remaining £5k goes to the winner.

What a fantastic achievement for Marcus considering he started day 2 looking at "Marcus Bebb-Jones   7900"

Marcus has taken back the chip lead.

On the river of a two spades. He bets 40k, Paul raises another 100k and Marcus instantly re-raises the pot, 420k more. Paul gives it up sharpish. 'Fingers', 'caught' and 'cookie tin' spring to mind.

On the turn of a board, Paul check/calls a 60k bet before checking again on the river. Marcus bets 80k now, but Paul decides to pump it up a bit, raising 200k more. It's all too much for Marcus who passes.

Paul limps in. Marcus makes it 72k. Paul calls.

Flop:

Marcus bets 80k. Paul raises it 150k more. Marcus makes it 250k more and Paul moves in. Marcus calls.

Marcus:

Paul:

Turn:

three diamonds

River:

Paul Rogers is OUT in 2nd place winning £50,000 and....

MARCUS BEBB-JONES is the GROSVENOR GRAND PRIX WINNER of 2007 winning £90,000!

The winner being presented the trophy by Jon Raab.

It just remains for me to thank Jon Raab, Zach and all the people at Grosvenor and Blue Square for their help this weekend, not forgetting Snoops and Dana earlier this week.

Next blonde update starts on Tuesday, it's the EPT event in Dublin.

I'm off to celebrate an early finish.
