Will you be dropping into Luton on the way home?

BTW- They're not all bad. There is a smattering of good, fair, decent politicians dotted around.

But how do you know for sure which ones are the good ones?

Now stfu. I'm going to bed.

LMAOOOOO

Just said to Celtic on MSN I reckon you were only humouring us with replies while you had that cup of tea.

Do you like cheese?

Which is your favourite?

About time someone else had to endure some of that bloody nonsense.

I'll make you both Facebook Friends of Crow & his Cousin, Reggie-Rat.

It's the blonde League tonight. What price Reggie-Rat turning up in the chat-box? "No offers" as the bookies say.

Right. I've had my walk, my shower & my breakfast. Now I have about another hour's worth of "Paperwork" to do, and then I'm game for anything.

Well, anything that doesn't involve food, alcohol, drugs, gambling, or loose women.

Edit: Forget what I said about the women.

The more I think about it the less sense her teacher's instructions make.  How the hell is she to find out anything until their visitor arrives and properly educates them?!  Sure she'll get 'information' but doesn't mean it'll be correct.  And round and round we go with all sorts of misconceptions and rubbish.  Seems to me she's more likely being set up for a jumbo size ooops by the time the dust settles on this one.

Now that's a very insightful post.

Going to request a meeting with the teacher.  It's impossible for Sarah to gather a list of 'facts' without a genuine resource.  She really is taking the task serious and I'd hate to see her set up for very obvious failure on this one.

...

A lot depends on why the teacher is doing it - if it's just because

(i)   they have a guest speaker,
(ii)  they need to set some homework
(iii)  'obviously' just set the homework to be about what the guest speaker is there to talk about

then that wouldn't be so good.

But what she's doing could be based on a standard educational model:

(i)   Find out what pupils know and what misconceptions they have (i.e. the homework research)
(ii)  Address the misconceptions and add missing information (i.e. the lesson with the guest speaker)
(iii)  Find out what the pupils have learned  (i.e. a follow up homework project)

In a broad subject like maths then this cycle gets repeated, but it still could be used in isolation like this - so she might know what she's doing.

Tom, if you're on expenses then this may be moot but if not....

Leicester - London return: £129 anytime, £73 offpeak, £55 super offpeak. The latter two are really restrictive on what time you can leave London.

Harborough - London return: £42 super offpeak Travelcard including tube, £45 offpeak Travelcard. Neither ticket has a restriction on when you can leave London.

Parking is cheaper at Harborough too.

If you still want to travel from Leicester, choose a train that stops at Harborough and buy two tickets at Leicester: a Leicester<>Harborough return and one of the Harborough<>London tickets. You can then get on any train coming home (as long as it stops at Harborough) - split ticketing ftw...
