Was just making my way to bed when my teaometer went right off the scale. I tried to ignore it cos if I have tea, it just means I'll have to get up an extra time during the night, but I know from long experience that if I don't have a cuppa now, I'll just toss and turn until I eventually have to get up and make one anyway.
If I was thin, I'd have a Horlicks.

We had to do a lot of lobbying over a number of years. We finally persuaded them that any policy formulated without at least consulting the people involved would never be seen to be fair. They still regularly forget to "inform" us of meeting dates until the last moment, or fail to send us the minutes of the last one. So we are often working against the clock to get our stuff ready. If push comes to shove, we just wing it. |
