I've had a song stuck in my head all day, and now I've just heard a clip of it on TV so I've decided to share it.

Brimful of Asha.

Let me know if it sticks in your head too.

We had a lyrics thread some time back and I posted about lines from songs that were just so right as an explanation.

A bit like REM "I'm pushing an elephant up the stairs" Like stories, one good line in a song can make all the difference.

Oh I love the great lyricists like Chuck Berry & Bob Dylan.

I saw her from the corner when she turned and doubled back And started walkin' toward a coffee colored Cadillac....

Last time I saw Marie she's waving me good-bye. With hurry home drops on her cheek that trickled from her eye..

Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.

Ever since I first heard this song I've wanted to to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free. It doesn't help that I can't dance....

True genius.

You can find most of their stuff on youtube and it's really stood the test of time. Just as funny today as it always was

I've just introduced my grand-kids to the delights of Laurel & Hardy and they absolutely love them.

I had been searching for a video of one of my favourite tracks of Dylan which I had on my Ipod - Like a Rolling Stone, a live version from MTV Unplugged.

Couldn't find it anywhere and Sony prohibit any live Bob Dylan due to copyright.

I finally found this on a Japanese site:

http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=mtv+unplugged&sk=&pq=mtv+unplugged&sp=1&sc=3-13&first=481&mid=979A5A93849222BDD816979A5A93849222BDD816&FORM=LKVR11

Almost 72 minutes of sheer pleasure..54:25 in is the best version of like a Rolling Stone I've heard.

Enjoy
