Identical old school ironmongers in my town.  Never been in.  Going to go in tomorrow and have a look around!  Established 1934!  Impressive.

An old school ironmongers with a website? That's like putting a turbo on an Austin 7.

I know.  Quite incredible.  Can't imagine too many of their customers ever look at their website.  The two don't really go hand in hand.

Check this out Tom

Lol. What is it with ironmongers? They don't know when to lie down. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Tony opened one.

Do they have ironmongers down South or is it all coffee shops and wine bars?

Is that what an ironmonger is? I had always assumed it was someone who sold bigger iron things like gates.

It's horses for courses Mr Tal.

I thought the speaker of the house was what politicians connect their microphones to.

This recent convo about ironmongers reminded me that I'd taken a photo couple weeks ago of a fabulous stall on the little market in Warwick.
It had wooden boxes and trays of reclaimed hinges, handles, door knobs, bell pulls and various other old fixtures and fittings, plus bigger stuff like letter boxes and bird baths and dolly tubs and possers, stuff you could spend all day looking through.
I took a snap on my phone because I thought, my dad will like this, but weirdly,  when I try to view the photo it let me see it for a second before fading to grey.
It's the only photo of over a thousand in my phone to ever do that.

Waiting for Wilco's to open, 15 mins to kill. Costa Coffee across the road seems a good option.

Why do I always struggle to justify paying the price of a jar of coffee for a single cup? I mean I understand that it's made fresh on the spot and I get to sit in a nice chair on the pavement to drink it .

I don't begrudge them their profit and I understand they have overheads.

WTF is wrong with me?

Yeah, and the something I did want cost £9.99 because it came as a set which included things I didn't want.
