That’s a bit harsh Tom. Her bra-less hey day was over 20 yrs ago.
She’s had some stuff to deal with in that time too. Mum and Step-Dad were lost in the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004 although I believe she spent a lot of time searching for them and for information.

Sorry Vinny.

Forgot you were off today. Hope the flight is a good one.

Poor excuse for a fry up, too.

2 weeks and a day until I'm plotted up at T3, not that I'm counting.

I'm all confused now, but not as confused as Marky.

I was watching telly today when it occurred to me that I seem to fancy women called Sally. Sally Field. Sally James, Sally Geeson, Sally Phillips....

Fascinating I'm sure you'll agree.

I love clever titles be they for books, films, posts on forums or anything, so I thought BBC4 excelled themselves with their documentary about women police officers.

Completely justified. (IMO). I'd certainly give him a life sentence, maybe longer.

That should act as a deterrent to any other idiots planning similar nonsense.

Surely some leniency should be afforded for a crime of passion.

Wow that's a nice one Red. I was lucky enough to be allowed to visit Nonsuch Island when I was a kid in Bermuda, as part of a Summer Camp run by the Aquarium & Zoo.

They have another species (the cahow bird) which was thought extinct and only nested there because no rats or hogs from ships had made it onto the island. It's also the only place I ever saw a Bermuda skink.

Sadly Bermuda's really small and therefore very vulnerable to introduced species and diseases... Amazing that people decided to release starlings, crows etc...

Animals

Lionfish - causing havoc in the reefs
    Starling
    Kiskadee
    Red-eared Slider
    Rats
    American or Common Crow
    Pigeon
    Sparrow
    Feral Chicken
    Rosy Wolf Snail
    Apple Snail
    Argentine Ant

So after my trip to Normandie I have quite a few pics but these are the pick for me. First one is me wearing my medals for the first time in over 20 years. The second is with Ernie, a Day Veteran. Didn't to talk to him for long but to meet the guy was very humbling.

That's terrific.

I'm big into WWII, there are so many aspects that fascinate me.

The 'Back home' war effort, rationing, the blitz, dig for victory, women at war, the black market, the home guard etc.

Then there's the technical war, the planning, deception, logistics, code breaking, the hierarchy power struggles....

There are some incredible POW escape/survival stories, especial Japanese POWs, and then the Holocaust, I mean, wow!

And then there's the war itself, the actual fighting I mean. so many incredible battles, thousands of individual stories from the war in the Pacific, the dessert, the jungles, the battle of Britain, Dunkirk, Pearl harbour....

I'm just spewing stuff out really but WWII spawned literally millions, and I use that word advisedly, of the most astonishing true stories of cruelty, treachery, brutality, savagery, inhumanity, sacrifice, heroism, courage, gallantry and valour that will ever be told and especially told by eye witnesses and participants.

Never ever again will a war be fought on such an incredible scale or with so much at stake.

Thanks for posting.
