talking of tv shows - have you watched Silo? It's very good imo. At first it seems to stretch credibility, but slowly as a background to the plot they drop in bits and pieces of how the people live as if to scold you for doubting.
I will give it a go, no Googling required.
What channel is it on?
I never got to the end of the very first sentence on Wiki...
"Silo is an American science fiction dystopian drama"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silo_(TV_series
)
I'm an adult so don't watch Science Fiction shite, & I don't even know what a "dystopian" is, & most American TV Series are awful.
An easy pass.

My mind is open to stuff like this, find me a TV Series about any of these & I'll be in like a shot. Pap, not so much.

Obviously with long running series that have yet to reach a conclusion, at a cetain age, ones mortality sometimes looms, probably looms very large with someone of tikay's age.
ps Silo features impressive concrete constructions for anyone who might be interested in such things.

That's actually a great list, I've already done Cavendish, Carnegie and Curie, (Must have been during my C period) but I will read up on the others.

I have one caveat with Dave's recommendation. If it doesn't get me in the first episode I'll bin it.
Can't be doing with waiting 6 episodes for something to get good.

They are all utterly fascinating, but if i had to pick one, The East India Tea Company is astonishing. No spoilers, but lots of jaw-droppers in the story.

Ha, something I'm genuinely acutely aware of, so these days I binge watch, & I rarely bet season-long Ante-Post bets on Football. Imagine having a big bet that wins after Mr Reaper has visited.

If I make it to my next birthday, I'll have lived longer than both my parents, three grandparents and my older brother.......

The kids tormented me for ages to watch Game of Thrones but it was so far outside my wheelhouse that I flatly refused.
Eventually, I gave in and I'm glad I did because it was fantastic.
Now they want me to watch Squid Game, but surely that HAS to be shite.
