Reading Jack Dee's book at the moment, each chapter is just a story about a part of his life, its a great read. 

Celebrity autobiographies are all the rage at the moment, and some, (Paul O'Grady's for instance) are stonking reads

Agreed good read Red.

But whilst on the subject of autobiographies, it is imperative that no one buys Nigel Mansells book, it is the worst book ever written.

I'll tell you who's autobiography is a bloody good read. Him. Whatsisface who used to read the news.

Bloody hell. I can't remember his name now. You know.... He did a lot of war reporting as well.

I've just bloody read it as well. My daughter bought it for me.

A life-size bronze sculpture of a man by Alberto Giacometti has been sold at auction in London for the world record price of £65,001,250.

It took just eight minutes for bidders to reach the hammer price after L'Homme Qui Marche I opened at £12m at Sotheby's auction house.

Sotheby's said it was the most expensive work ever sold at auction.

An anonymous phone bidder bought the work for £58m. The £65m price tag includes the buyer's premium.

7 million buyer's premium?

I was offered a place of a "Speed awareness training day" instead of the 3 points: Wiiiiiii

I still had to pay the £60 fine: Bugger.

The training day is tomorrow and it starts at 8:30am. Double Bugger.

I got one of these Red for doing 33 in a 30.

Oh and if you haven't already, get Sir Ranulph Fiennes book " Mad bad and dangerous to know " a cracking read. The man is a legend and imo, just slightly on the wrong side of eccentric.

I got done the other day but wasnt offered the chance to do the course as i was doing more than 10% over the limit!?! Last time i went to school, 56 was more than 10% more than 50 so how come you got the option!?!?! TBH if they start at 8:30am i probably wouldnt have bothered anyway lol

The speed workshop was actually very good. The statistics were quite eye opening.

I won't bore you with the details.

Surprised to say the least.

I thought people go into these things having already decided that they are a huge waste of time and sit with their arms folded throughout participating just enough to get their form stamped and then bugger off and flip them the V sign on the way out.

I didn't expect a man such as yourself, who been around the racetrack a couple of times and has a pretty settled world view, to be one to break the mold. Must've been quite a course.

Sigh, I said 'speeding' doesn't kill, not 'speed' doesn't kill.

Inappropriate speed is the danger, not going 10 miles an hour over an arbitrary limit on a motorway in good conditions.

Sir you should have come to my Red Light Awareness Course.


The little man who ran the course took great pleasure in being constantly patronising. If you haven't seen me rant then say back raise where it's not applicable and watch me go. This little man told us at the start it was going to be a 2 hour course and we HAD to all talk and get involved. He kept pestering me to answer a question early doors which was so moronic that it set me off.



Suffice it to say that after 2 and a half hours we were let go, and at least half the room thanked me for making them not have to talk through the whole thing, even if the argument went on so long we over ran.
(btw I was right)


In the midst of this joke, he asked a room of 20 (red light offenders, of which only I acknowledged I knew what i'd done even though there is a picture of 20 cars going through 20 red lights!) to order the changing of a set of traffic lights


green, amber, red and amber, red. those 4 options..... put them in order.


Myself and the other ~20 year old got it right, as did the guy to the other youngsters right who copied him. Everyone else was completely clueless and got it wrong.
