I spent a fortnight in Skegness one weekend... is that like time-travel?

So I've been thinking... If you really could go back in time to witness an event, what would you go back and see?
The rules are, no one can see or hear you, you can only observe.
You get to do it 3 times.
I've got my three BTW, but I reserve the right to change my mind if someone comes up with a doozy.

Hannibal's famous victory over the romans, 20,000 or something beating 90,000+, the greatest ancient military victory of all time, would love to see that, that guy was the business, greatest military strategist of all time.
something from 1300bc ancient Egypt when all the blinding Pharaohs were about, not sure what exactly, no particular event, just have a walk about luxor or something would be pretty cool
hang out with the Mayans circa 800ad when they were at their best, i'd love to see the cities and architecture when they were at their most prosperous.

Oh my, what a great question!
I shall ponder that all weekend now.

I'm finding it hard to get my head around choosing between the events where I think 'I'd have so loved to be there' (eg Woodstock, as Laxie said) and those that I'd want to view out of morbid curiosity just to get a first hand feel for what really happened on the ground - the sights and smells etc (eg D Day).

Oh yes, D Day. Imagine witnessing some of the great battles. The charge of the light brigade, Little big horn, Roke's drift, Waterloo...
