1. The day Stone Henge was completed. A wild and crazy party atmosphere a couple of thousand years ago.

2. Jesus feeding 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Would like to see that. Much better than Derren Brown lameness imo.

3. The moment my parents met for the first time as funky teenagers. That would be spinetingly good.

thats an amazing call, how funny would that be!  then again what if you saw something you'd prefer not to!

]

thanks for that, notched up a +1 on places to visit asap.

fwiw i think there is too much dramatism in these top 3 choices. I would love to see some dinos for sure, that would be cool. Also, i think phatom is spoton about speaking to ppl u knew well but didnt have the time (make the time?) to speak too, although im fortunate there are few of those. I guess id love to see english chalkstream rivers before they got destroyed by abstraction and the great barrier reef 15 years ago prior to coral bleaching.

Also, maybe hitlers bunker and the huge english shoots of yesteryear (just out of intrigue, i think they were barbaric, unsustainable and thoughtless in hindsight).

FWIW Tom i know you have phenomenal animal knowledge, could you please impart some of your thoughts on the training of a terrier puppy/ also some stories would be cool. I have just bought a border terrier.

This is my Border terrier Tim, (A red grizzle) playing with my son Tommy.

1. London mid 19th century, just to have a walk about. When it was the world's most important city and the height of the British Empire, to contrast the poverty in the East end and the great strides the country was making at the time.

2. Everest 1924, I want to know what really happened to George Mallory, was he really the first to reach the summit, how did he die etc.

3. Berlin 1936 Olympics, seeing Jesse Owens win those gold medals.

There are loads of moments in history which would be fascinating, those are just 3 off the top of my head. I certainly find modern history more interesting.

Great choices, esp No1. I might steal that one.

My second pick is Alexander Fleming when he accidentally discovered penicillin.  What a rush that must have been!

Ok I'm going go plump for:

1. Ancient Rome

2. Seeing the Beatles give their first performance at the Cavern

3. Sometime back in my dad's childhood to see his father. I never met my paternal grandfather as he died when my dad was 14.  It's his genes (looks wise at least) that are strongest in myself and my brother from all of our grandparents, so I'd really like to go back and see this man who gave a big part of himself to me, though we never knew each other.

1. Rome at it's imperial best
2. Waterloo
3. Something I think of myself rather than just reading other peoples and thinking, 'that's a good one'.

Haven't quite worked out 3. yet
