if you buried a mole alive would it be able to escape? a worm would but I'm thinking moles might need a bit of wiggle room

Moles are so at home underground that you wouldn't believe it. They "Swim" through the earth almost as easily as we swim through water.

The truth is, I admire them very much. You really have to study an animal's behaviour to be able to catch it, and you can't study them properly if you don't love em.

Look at how much soil the little bastards can shift in a few hours (This is just one molehill in a wheelbarrow, they made a total of 11 last night)

And what's truly amazing, they bring it all out through this tiny little hole.

I'm a city dweller so hope you'll excuse the daft question.

From what you say Mr Red these moles dig up your land at night, therefore is it not possible to catch them in the act at night without killing them, then move them on?

Yes, give them a written warning, or a clip round the ears.

They are blind, you know. So they don't even see those horrible traps waiting to guillotine them.

They do it under the ground mate, you never get to see them.

This is a great question though, and it opens the door for me to talk about a whole nother load of moley stuff.

But first, I have to go to the plumbers.

I'm having trouble with my toilet cistern mechanism. I've been having a running battle with it for ages. It's the most aggravating thing I've ever had to deal with.

Believe it or not, Mrs Red said this morning, in all innocence, " That flushy's playing up again"

Oh the irony.
